This is precisely the Zsasz I wanted, and also the one I never thought I’d get. Breyfogle for life, man. It’s perfect. I’m buying two.

Yeah, there's a lot of hate for this figure on the instagram post, but man, it's the version I've wanted since 1992. Love it so much. There's already a perfectly good DCD Arkham Zsasz out there, but never one that stepped right out of Shadow of the Bat and Knightfall. Absolutely thrilled with this figure, especially with the weird Breyfogle eye effect. Can't wait!

You've waited since 1992 for a figure that looks like it was totally phoned it by the designer? Instead of dedicated sculpt you're thrilled with a stock body with some black squiggles?

I don't mind the character design itself because I understand where it comes from, I mind the fact that the final product looks like something my kid could make with sharpie and some sculpting clay if I had that buck laying around in flesh colors.

I'd be all over a Breyfogle Zsasz on a newly fully sculpted body coming with 2 heads (one realistic, one with black eyes), but this is just lazy.

I think it looks good, like he stepped right out of that panel shown in this thread. Not every figure can have all the bells and whistles, and considering how this is a mass market line, I never thought Zsasz would be made in the first place, especially not this version. Sure sculpted scars would be nice, but this'll do. Sorry it's got you all riled up, but I was more than happy to pre-order it today, and I almost never buy anything from Todd's shop.

Here's hoping Todd keeps up the 90's love and we get a Ventriloquist (with Scarface and Socko), Firefly, and Ratcatcher. This figure choice has really invigorated my interest in this entire line.

Heh. Fascinating how polarizing this figure is. Also kinda fascinating how some folks seem Big Mad that other folks actually like it.

Anyway: can’t wait.

I'm certainly not mad at anyone for liking this figure...baffled maybe, but not mad. You like it? Great!

Heh. I was in a snit fit over preordering Starfire because of the chase thing (would love to have both Starfire and Blackfire but didn't want to risk it on preordering)... both annoyed I didn't order but kind of pleased to see she's selling out because it disproves the female figures don't sell thing (as did Wonder Woman, right? I was not in a snit fit and did preorder her). Hopefully I'll bumble into one at Target or something when she's released. Even being grumpy, I gotta give credit that she's a great figure.

I can't justify shipping on Zsasz alone.  Also I see in the turn arounds he doesn't have any markings on his back.  To me that's more noticeable than the lack of Superman's belt.  The whole thing is that he's covered in marks.

Hey, now... be realistic.   How's he gonna reach his back with the magic marker to draw the marks?   You gotta think about these things

Not having marks on his back is accurate. In the comic, he has a mark for every kill and he marks himself...he can't reach his back though. Not a great image, but the best I could find on google. Later in the book, every time they show his back, the marks stop around his sides and his back is clean.

Interesting, I stand corrected. I recall a story with Zsasz where he was in jail and Batman suspected he had killed someone so he counted the marks all over his body - nothing new.  Then Batman walks away and Zsasz lifts his foot to show a new scar on the bottom.

Zsasz seems like a pretty lithe guy, perhaps he can reach the bottom of his foot 😋

Went ahead and preordered him. I don't have a real attachment to him but he's a B- Batman villain and this will probably be the only Zsasz figure we get from McFarlane. I wish he would have came with an additional "normal" head and the scars were part of the sculpt but oh well.

I also got an email saying my Hal Jordan, Aquaman, and Batman pack has shipped!

Zsasz looks like the kind of guy that collected female action figures as a kid.

This Agent Liberty fellow seems like a prime candidate for some major reuse. Wonder whether Clock King will be more BTAS or Silver Age inspired. All in all, there's a few interesting choices among the leaks.
