Having the first ever Lucius figure (and maybe Morgan Freeman figure?) will be great too.
There's an action figure for his character from the Kevin Costner Robin Hood movie from back in the day.
Thanks HBHF and Josh
The Collector's Edition figures usually get a repainted platinum version. I wonder if and what they will be. I can see Penguin repainted as Super Powers but I don't know about the rest.
Starfire looks fantastic however I'm going to already say that she will be shorter than she is supposed to be unless she is using a body similar to WW or Donna Troy if that is the same body as WW. If Starfire is using the Catwoman body which I can't tell from the slide she will be quite short however though she will look fantastic, lol. Penguin could get a repaint of his more modern Black and White or just adding the pin stripes.
Starfire reuses most of Catwoman but uses it in a very elegant manner.
This guy has the Grifter lower half so he's gonna be a bit shorter
@shinigami-customs Yeah for me just looking at the image, she is going to be the best looking female, sculpt and body wise done yet. I mean the Mattel Starfire in the 2-pack with Adam Strange was shorter than I was expecting lol, but doesn't even compare to this beautiful figure.
Oh, just mentioning that I would enjoy a new Adam Strange and it could be the same outfit that was worn in the 2-pack.
Credit where credit is due, these are some awesome reveals from Todd! I've scaled back my McF purchases to near zero and have begun the Hot Toys game (man oh man...talk about broke lol) but these reveals are bringing me back into the fold.
Must-Haves for me include the Forever wave, Penguin, Starfire, and the Tumbler/Fox set. I'm hoping that pic of the Tumbler isn't showing scale, because that would be a bit undersized, but I suppose that also makes sense when you consider the 89 Batmobile and the 66 Batmobile were both undersized compared to their respective figures. But hey, if it's close enough that's alright with me in the long run. I've had one of the Mattel Dark Knight Tumblers in the display for a long time, it's way too small but when you set it in the back then perspective helps it to blend in. Even if this isn't in scale, as long as it's big enough to seat a figure then it will look even better.
The giant bat as the BAF is both an odd choice and also a "goofy as hell" fun figure that I didn't know I wanted until I saw it. I'll have to make a custom Bruce so they can hug it out. However, I was hoping for something a bit more obscure that maybe some of you don't know about...in the original script, the novelization of the movie, and in the videogame, when Batman reaches the top of Riddler's lair he's met with something interesting besides Riddler's new costume and hair style - Riddler comes out in an oversized robotic muscle suit. This suit was part of the mind games the Riddler was using at the end of the film along with the illusion regarding the fake floor* and the trap with Chase and Robin (the final film cuts nearly all of this from the climax). The suit would later be a sort-of inspiration for the mech suit Riddler uses in the Arkham Knight videogame. Even though this suit did not appear in the film, it would have been fun to see Todd turn the concept art into the BAF for the wave. But, I digress. Here's how it looked in the game:
*In the film, trap doors open under Chase's pod and under Robin's pod. Batman is told he has to choose one or the other to save because he can't be in 2 places at once. In the script/novelization, Batman turns on his lenses in the cowl and he sees that the floor in front of him is a hologram; there is no floor with 2 trap doors, it is all open and there is no floor at all. When he smashes the giant box with his batarang, the hologram cuts out and we are meant to see that the floor was fake...in the movie you can see the floor disappear when the batarang breaks the box, but nothing is explained to the audience as to why. In the original script, Batman comments on it before throwing the Batarang, to let the viewer know that he's figured out the final riddle - there is no choice to be made between Chase and Robin, it was all a game.
Sorry for the small off-topic rant, but I think it's a neat idea and I wish it was in the film. The way the movie stands, there's no reason for Batman to drop his lenses in the cowl.
Sadly Starfire doesn't come with more hands, but she looks great
Platinum Starfire is actually Blackfire, isn’t she? Damn, a whole different character as the chase. Boo. At least Boomer’s platinum is skippable. SP Penguin is amazing.
Their faces in those screenshots are marvelous. 🙂
Amazon link for Starfire. No photo yet. I haven't been able to find Boomerang and Penguin yet.
