True dst would’ve been a good choice for dc, the figures would be in scale with their marvel select figures. I have a few of their marvel select figures mainly mcu versions but they’re great so I’m a bit surprised they didn’t get the full license as they are doing statues and bust from dc comics.
In my opinion the downside to having dst is the character selection as well as the occasional reissues and most of all the wait time between figures, like it feels like it takes a year to get a figure. I think the last new figure we got from marvel was either apocalypse or titanium man.
i saw classic captain America and crimson dynamo are finally shipping out and they just announced war machine.
I guess for some it means we don’t have to worry about getting like 15 Batman’s every year and probably better character diversity.
If DST had the master Marvel License, I'm sure we wouldn't have to wait almost 12 months for a figure and expect only a handful of them in a year. It's the particularities of their arrangement with Marvel and Hasbro.
They'd be great to have DC as well. But at this point I still hope Todd will realize that he's started to mishandle the line and course correct.
Interview with Todd
If we're playing the fantasy license game again, the top choice would have to be Jada. NECA would be more expensive, but they'd put all their effort into each release making the price more worth it. They'd be my number two choice. DST is indeed killing it with Marvel lately, but you'd have stuff trickling out at a snail's pace.
In other news, my virtual BAF wave Aquaman preorder from amazon was pushed back to an unknown time. Last time that happened to me was with the sea horse and I had to end up reordering that one.
Ugh. Disappointed he doubles down on the female characters stuff from before.
I'm all but checked out on Todd and DC Multiverse but I'm convinced he's our only outlet for Batman Forever figures. When he gives us that wave and if he doesn't make a key character a Platinum chase, then I can take them and run.
Dusting off my DCUC.
Yeah he says popular female heroes sell as well as popular male villains, which is far below popular male heroes...but AFAIK he didn't touch on the recent Wonder Woman being the most popular McF figure in months to the point where it's nearly impossible to find for MSRP. Arguably one of the, if not the, hardest McF figure to find at retail since the line started. A relatively-nobody female character in Power Princess is also the hottest-selling ML at the same time. Explain that with your 30 years of data, Todd!

Well, he also seems to think people love chase figures and figures that are impossible to find. His data, or at least his conclusions, are extremely suspect.
Maybe he’s got his chart upside down and nobody dares tell him.
Todd actually said that he likes seeing that someone bought his figure for $20 and sold it for $100. That the guy that sold it for $100 just became a McFarlane fan. Yeah, your scalper is now your biggest fan while countless other actual fans can’t find or get the figure they want/need. Sheesh.
Speaks out of both sides of his mouth and just totally out of touch. And these reviewers that will nitpick the toys like anyone else in their videos then turn into shills during the interview…
Has anyone at DC or Warner Brothers seen the interview because I'm sure they want their product accessible.
I barely listen to Todd anymore, just the same shit. I mean good for him being so successful and hanging in there with the fatcats but he doesn't know what he's talking about. Guy asks him what he was most proud of and what product he liked best. He never answered the latter b/c he just went on and on and on as usual about longevity in pop culture. And the female thing haha. I also don't think he knows these characters well at all, even some of his own.
Look at the recent reveals, look at "Music Maniacs." Run while you can. DC will get big names on existing bodies and his other lines will be mini statues. If they keep the Page Punchers going then I can see some original designs continuing. Sorry to sound like a pisspot, and I will shutup because I am so PUMPED up for other lines, but not his - 6 inch comic properties I long ago gave up are getting some amazing products I can't wait for 🙂
I just slowly watch Todd implode for the last year and I need to vent. I don't know that I buy his stuff again anytime soon. How's that Kickstarter coming???

Just letting ya know pal, Beast Kingdom are giving us atleast Batman and Riddler, most likely EOY so there's that
Finally finished a custom I’ve been working on for some time. He’s too tall but whatever, not like any other OYL figures are coming out to go next to this guy on the shelf. Looks kinda good next to the also oversized Batman.
