Would it have killed them to put Beast Boy and Kid Flash on a buck under the equivalent of 6 feet tall? Just make a teenage buck; you'll have a chance to reuse it.

this is not a teenage kid flash, this is a young adult kid flash he took over as flash after Barry died at the end of this story arch

Out of cheapness. Not out of intent. Beast Boy was never 6' tall either as a teen or adult.

Managed to find the Nolan Catwoman Platinum at my LCS yesterday. Was priced up- about the cost of 1.5 figures, but I snagged her anyway, since I knew I'd never see her again. I'll probably try to offload the Batpod version to offset the cost a bit; the cat goggles are my preferred look for her anyway.

Took a few months off from buying this line but on a whim picked up Raven, Donna Troy, and the Superman and Krypto set. Gotta say that while I don't see Jada getting the license, their Street Figures are SHOCKINGLY good. I don't really want to start all over again but I can see why they're getting the love for where a DC license could go next.

Don't want to complain much cos I have liked a lot of the McFarlane figures, but getting a Krypto statue with some cloth on his back when I've got a full articulated Cosmo, Timber, and Junkyard on my desk from Hasbro's kind of a bummer. And were another company to pick up the license, I wonder if (the way Jada has gone with classic looks first for Street Fighter, versus, like, the cool but not the ones I wanted Raven and Donna I just bought) if we'd get more core DC characters from somewhere else. (That being said, Jada is releasing pretty slowly, too, so it'd be a trickle, I guess.) I also feel like McFarlane can kinda... get bored with a line before finishing it? I'm sitting on half of Vox Machina, Witchers without mages, that Ollie with no Dinah, that kind of thing.

Anyway, not wanting to be a negative nelly - really liked Todd's classic Wonder Woman, still picking up figures here and there. Just not racing to get anything anymore like I was at first. McFarlane does put out some really great stuff. But I just can see where things could be different is all.

McFarlane and its handling of DC really confuses me. Every time I get a new figure, I enjoy it but I see so much that feels like a lack of care.
Growing up, McFarlane's lines, especially Spawn, just blew away everyone in terms of detail and paint, but it's like that artistic eye is mostly gone. The proportions are so strange and the way the limbs fit together make most figures forced to take this very odd, thick-thighed, short-armed, tiny head stocky posture.

I mostly collect Batman figures from DC, and I do like what I have but there's a clunkiness to their construction that is really strange. Also, compared to Hasbro, who as of right now their detail and proportions and paint are excellent in Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends, and GI joe, McFarlane stuff looks like early Toy Biz Legends. As much as I loved those at the time, things have evolved.

Also, compared to Hasbro, who often seems like the budget is super tight, McFarlane feels like they're throwing almost anything at the wall - Jokerized figures no one seems to want, endless variants, a million Batmen while missing a lot of the central DC characters.

I like how the Arkham Knight actually has paint, but the grey is too light.

I had ordered a few figures from amazon and my package arrived today. One of the items I ordered was the Collector's Edition Sinestro and I received the platinum version. Not exactly what I wanted but I don't feel like returning it. I did see one at Gamestop the other day. I might go back there and get it. I didn't have time the other day.

When I was at Target last week, I saw the platinum version of Alan Scott. The package didn't have the platinum sticker on it and it was throwing me off. I turned the box around and there was a picture of Deathstorm. I guess someone bought the $25 Deathstorm & returned the $30 Alan Scott for $25 or it got packaged that way at the factory.

I had the same thing happen to me, then I had to scramble to find the actual yellow one.  I've contemplated selling Green Lantern Sinestro, but it does look cool so I'm hanging onto it for now.  Imagine the outcry if they were doing Marvel Legends "chase variants."  All I want is Marvel vs. Capcom Cable, and then they send me a red and white "Player 2 Variant."  People would lose their minds.  I'm not into chasing the figures I actually want while a version I like less is plentiful.

I don't know much about Jada, but those Street Fighter figures are pretty cool.  I really hope people are happy with McFarlane's output.  I was a big supporter, but the last year has been pretty awful to me.  His "basic" bodies don't look good at all to me and they don't even work well together.

I understand people are saying he won't lose the license....and probably not.....but retail is very stingy now.  How many waves have been denied?  We could be seeing the end of Marvel Legends.  I could see Hasbro walking since Disney properties are not doing well for them.  Maybe Todd does the same.  Just a thought.  I likely will keep thinking this way after the Task Force wave is revealed - I expect more of the same.

I'd be happy if Playmates got the license from Todd at this point.

In all seriousness, Jada has done some great stuff in the last few years, especially the Universal Monsters stuff. I collect the NECA Ultimates, but the Jada figures are slightly more articulated and cheaper. I think they'd do a great job with DC. At this point, even Mattel would do a better job than Todd is. I've been telling myself that I'd wait to see what Todd's KC Superman looks like, but I realize now it will be as lazy as the KC Batman was. I just sold off around 8 DCM figures and kept KC Batman, but after comparing him to the old DCD figure, his KC is junk. I'm done with DCM and possibly SP, unless Todd finally changes that cartoonish Superman headsculpt with the upcoming Fleischer Superman.

Well I preordered All-American Boy from BBTS and can't wait for this one. Oh, if anybody received Hal Jordan Spectre and wishes to trade I have two of Spectre and don't have a want for two. I would think McFarlane is working on a GITD Spectre. It is a pretty obvious choice and would most definitely sell out.

My choice for the license if it were to stay in the 7inch size would be DST. They are doing some great stuff right now with their Marvel Select brand.
