Is the Platinum Aquaman just going to be the hook hand in the orange and green costume?    It seems obvious that the Platinum for Superman Blue will be Superman Red.... maybe the Batman gets the Platinum and they leave Arthur alone?

Possibly gold torso armor. The 90s Total Justice figure had that variant.

Hadn't thought about this, but that's a good point.   The Total Justice figure did have gold armor.  That would be cheaper and easier repaint.    I'd still be annoyed at getting it but less so.

FYI: my Platinum guesses are based on the seeming fact that new/alternate parts don’t seem to be part of the equation, at least for the mainline releases. Like TDKR Catwoman has new bits, but she’s not a repaint of an existing release. All the recent Collector Edition Platinums have been simple paint variants.

Kryptonite Predator head Doomsday coming. Not gonna lie, I think it's pretty cool.

Looks cool, maybe a little paint would make him more familiar, but the head will be different, maybe he is impersonating a predator

I vote for JadaToys to be the next DC license holder after seeing the Street Fighter figures. Sorry, was my first thought.

I think this Doomsday is supposed to be based on All-American Boy.

Hey if anyone is interested in Platinum DarkKnight Rises Catwoman, ToySnowman has the figure in stock. $34.99

I just purchased one for my daughter. Shipping was $9 and some change which is reasonable from Canada.

For the most part, I think they’re paint variants, but the Zach Snyder Justice League Platinum Batman had a head variant (goggles up vs. down).

It would be cool if each retailer got a different colored Kryptonite Doomsday. Have the whole rainbow of kryptonites of the Silver Age.

I wouldn’t mind this but I don’t think Mcfarlane would be giving up the license any time soon, and honestly if another toy company does pick up the license and makes me collect a different scale or puts me back at square where I’ve already sold off my DC universe figures  I think I’ll be done collecting unless every figure are just out of the park smash hits after the other. I need some Insurance in the lines longevity before I commit again

Either them or Jazwares. I don't have any of Jada's Street Fighter figures but from pictures I've seen, they're impressive. I do enjoy McFarlane's DC figures but I feel he misses so many opportunities to make definite versions of characters. Scaling between characters is all over the place and leaning into the platinum chase figures is really turning me off.

I don't think Todd is losing the license any time soon, though.

I don't care  or know anything about Street Fighter but this kid I work with showed me his Jada Toys some character or other. That was my first thought immediately. Why couldn't they have scored the DC license.

I remember when everybody said they wished Jazwares got the DC license. Now look at their Halo line. Give a company enough time they'll all disappoint you.
