My inability to get Wonder Woman has been really frustrating. I’d love a proper Morrison JLA but no way I’m paying $60 for her. Had so many orders cancelled already. I ordered through Books a Million as well and I’m nervous it’s going to get cancelled.
I pre-ordered the Plastic Man wave but I’m a little less excited about it than I was originally. Maybe it’s because Jon Stewart is of the wrong era and I’ll have to sell 2 figures instead of one. I just want to find one era and stick to it. Outside of the texture I think they did a fine job on the figure but I wish he was 90s or 2000s.
Ah, so as usual, a lot of negativity towards the reveals, then a bunch of happy customers preorder the heck out of them.
I definitely wouldn’t equate negativity here to sales. We are but a subset of a subset of the collector community, who both love toys and these characters enough to come here and babble about them.
Sadly I think the instant sellouts are mostly because retailers ordered so much less of these. Maybe big box retailers will jump back in but as it stands, Plastic Man, Page Punchers, the digital figures, and the 3 comic Batmen were never available for pre order at Target or Walmart. Target got Batfleck and Hong Kong Bale but hasn’t sold another McFarlane figure since the BTAS exclusive wave. All of the Target exclusives are on clearance now and it seems like they turned down the Crisis wave. Walmart’s last McFarlane figure was an exclusive Owlman that is now readily available on McFarlane’s site.
I don’t really know how to view it. I guess it’s a positive that the quantity they are producing is selling out and maybe it means they will be able to raise order quantities in the future. On the other hand, the fact that Walmart doesn’t think they can profit on Batman figures doesn’t seem like a great sign.
Would have preferred Amazon but had to go through Gamestop to preorder Aquaman. Not much faith in that getting filled, but we'll see.

Nope... the reveals suck just as much ass as they always did and I ordered the one figure I always said I was going to order. Also, possibly the people complaining that the reveals suck and the "happy customers" aren't the same people.... just a theory though.
just saw that Toy Shiz confirmed that there are platinum versions of 3 figures in the Plastic Man wave. Everyone but Batman.
Saw skydive Begins Batman, Steel (1 regular & 2 platinum) and Knightfall Nightwing at a local Target today.
Passed on all of them, as I have all the Bale Bats I need, my ideal Nightwing in this line, and the Steel I already like with more figures confirmed and matching the actual story they first appeared in.

C’mon, Todd, that’s overkill to have chases for basically every figure. That shit wasn’t even done at that level in the ‘90s. That crazy to do when the MSRP is $25.
What could Aquaman be?
It's crazy to think they are releasing two waves for pre-order that have a Batman, Green Lantern, and Aquaman
3 platinums in a wave that totals 4 figures only available at online retailers…sigh. At this point I should have expected it and maybe I deserve it for continuing to support this nonsense.
Shouldn’t be so hard to get the Morrison JLA.
Will John Stewart variant be just a repaint or he will have the mask?
I’m hoping the variant has flesh tone hands and a new head to look more like the mid-2000s costume. I would buy that.

This is me. I would have preordered Aquaman, but he’s unavailable on Amazon. Pretty sure I will find Blue Superman later, so no preorder. I’m not getting tricked into buying the Batman and John Stewart figures, repaints of things I already own but not even what I want for a JLA look. So no Plastic Man for me. McF managed to lose $50-$75 dollars I budgeted for this wave, because I loved the Morrison era JLA comic and was very excited for this wave before the reveals.
A lot of McF figures are only okay, and then ones I want are always super hard to find (Wonder Woman, Flashpoint Flash, Azrael, Midnighter, Captain Atom). I’m not going to fight to pay the company money, I just won’t own the figures. I suspect there are others who feel the same way.
Kryptonite Predator head Doomsday coming. Not gonna lie, I think it's pretty cool.
