Would have been cool if that rebirth Batman came with alt hands.
So Superman comes with 1 fist and 3 open hands for whatever reason.
I'll pick up Brainiac but use the body for Cyborg or Ultron. I've liked his look in the game enough but only after I was able to switch out some parts, as it is it's just a bland robot guy.
POed a Brainiac- nothing else revealed did anything for me. Wonder what the odds are that we'll get an Injustice 2 Darkseid before a classic comic version. Thinking of other Injustice figures I'd buy (in lieu of classic comic versions), Black Canary, Deadshot, Starfire and Scarecrow would be high on the list.
Ordered Brainiac.
I was tempted to get that 2-pack to use the Batman as a battle damaged version of Rebirth Bats, but the new figure doesn't have the black painted on the belt like the original single release does. So it won't really work. Also the gray on the suit and the purple on the cape looks like it might be a shade or two lighter. So it's a pass.
I didn't pre order Brainiac, because I try to only do comic figures. But I have picked up the occasional Video Game or Movie figure if I feel like it goes with all the comic figures, and I think this one would. But, I just haven't pre ordered it and hope to find it out in the wild.
Any info on when the Wal-Mart Black Lightning or Target Supergirl might go up for pre order?
And where in the heck is that last Target figure ( Wonder Woman I presume?) to finish the Cyborg BAF?
Anyone see Cave Man Batman in stores yet?
Love the Capullo head sculpt (with proper articulation this time) but easy pass on both of those 2 packs. Weird to see the random blood spots on an otherwise not battle-damaged Batman, and no interest in the other 3 figures. Thought the Brainiac head sculpt may have worked for a kitbash/custom when I saw the initial photo, but the expression is not great in the full product reveal.
Honestly, my wallet could use a break, so I'm not unhappy that I'm passing on all new reveals except Supergirl, which looks outstanding. Zero negatives with that figure other than the fact that she's an exclusive.
I'm on the side of cloth capes as long as they look decent, which most of these do. Cloth capes are just way, way easier to display. No figures falling backwards. You can use full leg articulation without a cape always hitting the ground on every pose. No placing bulky capes in flight poses or areas where they won't knock over figures next to them with slight movements.
Does a well done, neutral, soft rubber cape look better than cloth? Almost always. But thinking about it, many of McFarlane's current capes are either asymmetrical (almost all of them), too heavy (Shazam), too rigid (Rebirth Batman and Superman) or too bulky (DC1000 Batman, Eradicator). If all of the capes were like 3J Batman, I'd change my tune.
@flexion-dynamo Yeah. At a couple of Walmarts and a Target. Target stocks these with the video game figures and NECA in electronics.
Thinking of other Injustice figures I'd buy (in lieu of classic comic versions), Black Canary, Deadshot, Starfire and Scarecrow would be high on the list.
The things I'd do for an Injustice Scarecrow..... almost as horrific as the things I'd do for a Klondike bar.
I love that Brainiac! Looks like the excellent rendition of Brainiac from the Krypton TV show, but on steroids. Love the tentacles.
Out in Hong Kong. Photos grabbed from the Comix and Toy Pod Facebook Page:

Yeah, I saw Caveman Bats, Robin and Mr. Freeze at Walmart. The only one that no one seems to be finding is Batgirl for some reason.
I picked up Mr. Freeze, because I think he looks really cool, and I have a story idea that he'll be perfect for.
Yeah, I saw Caveman Bats, Robin, and Freeze all at Target a couple times. Only seen Batgirl once, at Newbury Comics, but didn't snag her because she was overpriced.

supergirl has a platinum version base of CW supergirl
Oooooh, two Supergirl colors. I think they both look good, probably can't go wrong with either. I know the darker one is supposed to be the TV version and although it doesn't look like the actress, it's still a good head sculpt for Supergirl.
Oh, also, go check your email. Amazon wants you to approve the Batmobile delay. Honestly, I might just let it go. I have so much of this stuff and just no room!
