Kinda torn on this wave. I like Plas, but I’m not sure I want any of the figures other than Aquaman. The DCUC versions of these characters work just fine for me. And I’m really not sure why John is in this wave.
Was JLA Batman ever really shown in all-black like that? I see a lot of images where he is blue, or at least, dark grey with black that has a blue appearance. Not like I really care, personally, not a fan of the 3J Batman figure, especially those terrible boots/ankles. Dude looks alright in a heroic stance but it falls apart doing any sort of posing.
Plastic Man’s right arm, and how he’s gripping it, doesn’t make sense to me. It seems disconnected. What am I missing here? 😅
They had one simple task, but still somehow shit themselves. This wave was almost perfect.
Plastic Man looks great.
Superman looks fine.
Aquaman is good.
Then you have this awful Batman and Textured Stewart. Thanks.
Was it THAT hard to repaint Knightfall Batman figure?

I tended to take Porter’s Batman as all-black, although inking techniques and the need to differentiate the bodysuit from the boots/gloves/cowl/cape sometimes ends up making the bodysuit look grey and/or the extremities look blue. I think it’s also a bit of a Rorschach test at this point: some folks want to see blue, some folks want to see black. But I always read the post-Troika/pre-No Man’s Land suit (which is what this is) as black-on-black, most particularly because it was reactive to the Burton/Schumacher movie suits, which were (for the most part) black-on black. Also, for this particular figure, we have already gotten black/grey and blue/grey, so all-black makes the most sense unless someone is looking for blue/black (with black for the bodysuit) which I honestly think is the least-pleasing color scheme. Also with all the 89 suit detailing on the 3J suit, a black-on-black version seems logical and the best of all worlds, for me at least. I’ll bet this will look really cool with the First Appearance head.
John Stewart should have been packed with Kilowog and Kyle should have been in this wave.

That would have made more sense.
Big thanks to @DaveB for giving the head's up on Wonder Woman at Best Buy earlier this week. I got an order in before it sold out, said it would be ready for pick up Saturday. I walked in there today and got her with no issue. She's a nice figure.
Nice! I'm glad it worked out.
I saw a King Kordax in the clearance section at Target today. $10. I got excited for a second thinking I could get the black trident for Manta on the cheap, until I realized it was in the clearance section because some jackass had stolen the trident already.
Oh well, wasn't meant to be. He'll probably be on clearance at some point everywhere, anyway.
the whole aquaman 2 wave are already on clearance, i got all but the mega fig and stealth version for $10 bucks each, the mega fig is $20.
sorry to hear about the stolen trident, hopefully another store might have one complete.
I was, indeed, able to find a complete Kordax at a Target a bit further out from me. I doubt I find Manta for discount, but at least when I do finally pick him up I have the trident.

His arm is actually in a loop and the flag is blowing through the loop and it's blocking part of his arm so it looks like it's cut off.
Holy fuck, he looks bad ass! he will be mine.....We will never see this again, ever. this could be todd's best DC figure. To me, PlasticMan ranks in the top 5 superheroes of all time for me, i have a soft spot for him.plastic man reveled

As soon as I looked again, I saw that. 😆 Thanks!
I'm guessing the Knightfall Batman wasn't used for this wave because the mold was already in use for Black Knightfall Batman. It's a shame because its leaps and bounds ahead of every other Batman buck in Mcfarlane's inventory.
Remember when Todd bragged about not being a publicly traded company and not needing to maximize profits every quarter? Do us all a favor and toss the 3J Batman mold into the South China Sea and cut some new Batman shaped steel!
I wonder if with this particular wave, Plasticman should have been a separate figure with his limbs easy to pull apart, while all the pack ins for the other figures in the wave are shape shifted Plastcman parts. Like spring legs or enlarged fists. That way people can get the core Plas figure without having to buy the other unwanted figures.
