I think the price is what making people see the errors in this figure more,if it was a 20$ figure, would still be wrong to not paint stuff, but more acceptable

Yeah but we should expect better quality for almost double the price, even if it's supposedly a smaller run. Most of those figures were built on reused parts, chrissakes.

I think it's also an issue that this missing paint app was hidden in promotional shots. Feels very dishonest.

Well, those headswap photos just convinced me to go snap up a second E2 Superman in addition to the one that will be coming with my set. Those swaps are amazing, particularly the Golden Age head, which looks WAY better on this body than on the body it was released on. Basically a PERFECT Golden Age Superman, and he’ll look amazing with the FA Batman.

That Superman is the line in a nutshell. A George HW Bush headsculpt, missing a bunch of paint, isn’t properly scaled for the other figures in the wave, and costs $40. Yet it’s so close to being perfect, and only required some slight part swaps. Sigh.

I cancelled all of my outstanding McFarlane preorders today. Turns out my unmasked Bale shipped already so I’ll just pray for a non platinum and sit on my hands if/until Batman Forever figures pop up.

After finally seeing pics/reviews with comparisons, I am shocked to see that DKT Catwoman is scaled properly.

Got mine today, it's easily the best Superman I've gotten from McFarlane. He's big. Taller than Classic Superman, Knightfall Batman, and even Wonder Woman. Mine is a little loose at the top of the diaphragm joint. Speaking of the joints, they are all implemented well. No jagged elbows or knees on this guy. Nice!

It's not worth almost $50 shipped, but I'm happy with it. Hoping to see another, younger version of Superman on this body at some point in the future.

Here’s your first variant…I have no comments on whether it’s a good or bad figure, but I can’t imagine paying $50 shipped and being psyched for a Jim Corrigan Spectre then getting this instead:

After seeing how good that Superman figure looked with the head swaps I started doing mental gymnastics regarding the entire wave and whether to place an order. Glad I saw this Spectre and became logical again. I’d be pulling my hair out not knowing what’s going to arrive at my door. This is only one of two chase variants.

Earth-Two Superman and black and gray Knightfall Batman will be my last McFarlane DCM figures. I'm selling stuff that I originally hadn't opened because of space. Now, I'm selling because it's clear this line is not going to be what I want it to be. I'm not saying it's horrible or terrible, just that it's not evolving into what I was hoping it would.

The only thing that could get my interest at this point would be a KC Superman as good as the KC Batman. I'm not sure Todd can produce that, so I'm not holding my breath. I have no interest in the leaked and recently revealed stuff and I'm tired of getting my hopes up only to find them continually dashed by figures that are "almost there" or "just about right." The price hikes obviously don't hurt, either.

I was planning to keep my McFarlane SP stuff, but I'm thinking of selling that as well and going for the Kenner stuff. Same goes for missing pieces of my DCUC collection.

Oh HELL NO. I’d absolutely buy Hal by choice but not INSTEAD of Jim Corrigan. That’s an *also*, but ONLY getting Hal would be infuriating*.

. . . what’s the other variant??? Eek.

*edit: I absolutely already paid for this wave so like the dice are well and truly rolled. Mmmm I wonder if it’s one of those things like before where they only put platinums in multiple orders of the same figure, never in sets?

I’d like nothing better right now than to cancel my preorder for the COIE bundle in a fit of indignation, but it would only cost me later.   Not painting the back of Superman’s belt is pretty sad.  Are things really that bad, Todd?
