Wow, what a mighty trifecta of Batman figures! Feels like a “History of the Batman” wave and I AM HERE FOR IT.

Knightfall is now in my preferred colors, it looks incredible, and I can’t wait to swap a Grundy BAF-wave Arkham City Batman head onto one of these for a Bernie Wrightson spooky Batman.

I also love how the grey on 1939 Batman looks like the old newsprint grey of the time, and KF Batman’s grey is different from both the blue/grey standard release and also different from the blue/dark grey exclusive version. Well done. And I love that AzBats is Todded to the max with gears and servos and armor plates, and yet the two classic Batmans in this wave are smooth and simple as they should be. Awesome contrast. Heck, even looking at the 1939 and KF together, 1939 looks just rough and chonky enough to capture the early-comics art style it comes from (and I see that as a strength), whereas the KF has all that streamlined-realism detailing in the folds of the costume and such. They caught not just the designs, but the *feel* of the eras they come from. I frigging love it so much.

Now repaint AzBats in blue and get us 1939 Hugo Strange and 1940 Batman #1 “Conrad Veidt” Joker IMMEDIATELY!

I like that Wally...except for the head. That is just a weird sculpt, with a rather creepy (almost Joker-esque) smile that just doesn't work for me. I'll probably wind up getting it, but damn. So close...

Well, it's exactly the same body we've seen before for Flash since day 1 but... I think I like it? The headsculpt does it for me a lot. Not sure if I'm gonna spring for it but still.

Grr. The Platinum Dark Knight Batman figure with the wired cape went up and sold out on BBTS before I even knew it was there. Second day in a row with this, with Catwoman yesterday.

Gah. Sold out.

I’m not too concerned with Selina; the Batpod is being dropped off at my house today, and the Catwoman packed with that is only missing one set of hands and the accessories from the Platinum and I can probably live with that. HOWEVER, I really want the Platinum Batman, I love the wired cape and I want to put *him* on the Batpod.

Heeeeeeyyyyy so browsing the McF store site, it looks like all prices have gone WAY up suddenly, like overnight even. Checked a bunch of my orders, and yep I payed like $20 less for the Batpod than is currently listed. All single figures are suddenly $31.99 or MORE. The individual Earth 2 Superman from the Crisis set is 54.99 alone!!!! What’s going on??? Super Powers are 13.99 each now?!?

*edit: aaaaand now they are back to normal. I swear I’m not nuts!! That was weird.
