What McF's design team should have done was use the Knightfall Batman in darker gray and blue with two new heads for this digital promo. It definitely would have fit the more classic looking theme much better than this Rebirth Batman.

It's interesting how we critique the figures on this forum. Aquaman & Batman are improper repaints of previous figures and Green Lantern is a new character on a reused body. No one understands the interests in the digital code and yet these have sold out on most websites, especially Green Lantern. I wonder if they will have platinum editions.

Yep. I promised myself that I would not buy any more DC Multiverse figures with incorrectly sculpted details due to lazy reuse, but I still preordered Green Lantern. It is just one extra sculpted line around the boot tops on an otherwise great looking figure though, and the classic Hal Jordan Green Lantern has been my favorite DC character since I was seven years old.
Such is the plight of the adult collector of mass market retail action figure lines circa 2024.
@rebirthbat still waiting on those JLA figure reveals and Wally West. Also Commando Spawn and Spawn #311 sound neat.
Why do people not like the blue Rebirth Batman (aside from it being like the 100th Batman figure)? I think the new heads look pretty good, the original rebirth figure handled well iirc, and it reminds me of the best Batman toy (Mezco One:12 Sovereign Knight PX exclusive).
It’s not a terrible figure but it doesn’t really have a definitive place with the rest of the line. It’s not a figure that exists in a comic (at least not with the royal blue), not an easy parts swap because of the unique sculpt, and I haven’t seen many people lauding the head sculpts. I think the Batman head sculpt is pretty good but it would require a repaint to match any other sculpt. The Bruce one is just OK.

sky dive appears to have a platinum version featuring a mask and cape. Pretty much the six pack Batman but as a single figure with no accessories.
next there’s a few of people receiving and finding the platinum catwoman. One guy got her from a McFarlane toy store order. The other found at target but was street dated for 2/23.

Yeah, I don't understand McFarlane's thinking with that Batman. Hell, I wouldn't have mind if they just rereleased the Hush Batman with a brand new masked head and new unmasked head/neck combo and label it year one.
@supreme_d rebirth is my favorite Batman suit, my issue with the figure and its an issue that they still haven’t fixed is his scale. He’s too small. Even KF Batman is taller than him. If they somehow fixed it with this version which I highly doubt it I’ll be happy.
So I paid $22 specifically for an unmasked Christian Bale head, and I instead might get a masked Batman figure that I already bought in a different wave, except with less accessories? And it’s being called a PLATINUM CHASE?!?
What in the world are they thinking with this? A large majority of your customers buying unmasked Bale have gotten Batman already. This isn’t a platinum chase, it’s a totally different figure.
Every few weeks I end up feeling this way about something they do. Maybe I really should just cancel the pre-orders and take a break…
@rebirthbat oh yeah I get that. Honestly wish they would have stuck closer to rebirth scale to begin with. Most of McF’s figures are too big to go with my DC Direct figures, but I feel like Rebirth Batman looked good next to them.

I’m not convinced platinums are so rare. The collector editions have 1 out of 6 platinum, and Steel appeared to have 1 out of 3 in some cases. I’m not paying for a new figure, taking a chance that they instead send me a repackaged figure from 6 months ago I already have, then having to find a trade partner and pay shipping again to get what I originally ordered. This isn’t something we should have to worry about at all.
