No I don't think so.  The Injustice figures from Page Punchers were clearly stated to be INJUSTICE just like this figure is.  That was also the case for Batman and Green Arrow.  The Superman Page Puncher listing is just 7" with comic like the previous 4 series.  No Gamer/Injustice designation at all.  Also, this particular social media reveal made no mention of a Page Punchers wave.

I mean you could be right, I hope you're not, but independent of that I just expect comic figures.  As a matter of fact I think it will be more comic faithful, even if not traditional, than some recent waves.

Page Punchers looks to alternate:

Wave 1 - comic accurate with a little flair on Black Adam

Wave 2 - McFarlane Toys redesigns

Wave 3 - comic accurate with a little flair on Aquaman

Wave 4 - McFarlane Toys (bonkers) redesigns

So I'm thinking these lean more comic based.  I have wanted a Superman themed wave in this line since it started so I will be majorly bummed if it's not.  But more money saved I guess.

Well, at a minimum, the Brainiac going up next week is Injustice based.

That said, I really like that design without even being a fan of Injustice because it checks a bunch of my boxes for Brainiac.

I'm also somewhat tempted by the Page Punchers Injustice Dr. Fate just because I like Kent Nelson.

But since we've had probably as many Dr. Fates as Barry Allens, I guess I also hold out hope that the McFarlane people are just so irrationally into Dr. Fate that they keep doing more until we get a classic version.

My 1989 Batman/Batmobile set says it’s supposed to arrive this Thursday. I’m willing to bet that doesn’t happen.

Same. Although Amazon did say my Riddler was shipping the other day and it did and now I have it in hand so anything is possible.

I love it and do not buy any video game figures.  Even with Transformers where I spend most of my money I don't get the Gamerverse no matter how good they look.

But THIS Braniac could have just as well been in the comic Page Punchers-he's a great representation of the character.  I am wondering the wave leans New52 since that Cyborg Superman is new52 and future Batman releases are going there..

btw after reading your posts I checked Injustice and there was a comic based on it.....not exactly comic canon but not totally like the video game either.  I liked the look of it and that could be interesting.

Yep…it would be a pleasant surprise if it did. Ordered the GITD Swamp Thing when it first dropped and still ended up being delayed. That said, I’d rather a delay than an outright cancellation…

Is the movie Batmans 7-pack actually supposed to come out this month or is EB's release date wrong? I can't remember.

Also... no Catman locally yet. I need that figure.

I believe that Catman is a McFarlane Toy Store exclusive only. I've had mine from there for weeks now.

He's available from one of the Canadian stores I buy from online. That made me think I might see him locally at EB or something.

Excited to be back on the Fwoosh boards! Missed you guys.

Toy-wise, I recently got my Batman/Spawn two-pack and Catman figure from McFarlane's store. The Batman from the two-pack is really Howard Porter-style. His ears looks especially great from the side. Really glad I got him, even though it was odd to get a Batman from the 90's with a modern Spawn. Would've preferred a classic Spawn for this set, even if he did look like he stepped out of the recent special.

I've got a few figures on my radar, but I'm really keeping my purchases to Bat-related figures never made before or in a costume that's never been made before. So I'll get Abyss (although not for $30 - waiting for a sale), Signal (haven't nabbed him yet), Batwing, and Dark Knights of Steel Batman along with a few others. Black Lightning is going to be an exception to my rule as Outsiders are my weak spot. I'm always up for new figures from that team's original or 90's roster.

To me, Todd's greatest competition these days is Todd. I'm much more focused on buying other lines (Batman '66, Super Powers, and the B:TAS (CONDIMENT KING!!!) and Batman & Robin waves), that I'm not spending much money on the main comic book line.

Speaking of various versions of characters, is there a good Zod look inspired by his Superman II appearance? I don’t really like the look of the existing McFarlane Zod and I’m wondering what other options there are for future Zods.

Other than the general head resemblance between movie and McFarlane Zods, no. But the movie costume was a glorified bathrobe, to be honest, so I don't think Todd will jump on the opportunity to make one.

Got a big box of goodies last night with Dread Lantern, Sinestro Batman, 2x Knightfall Bats and winged Blue Beetle. Only had the opportunity to open the first two so far. Lantern is such a beautifully sculpted human body I can't even contain myself. I've bought him for a specific custom but while handling the figure I had an instant urge to screw that and make a Hal Jordan instead. I guess I'll order another one in the near future for that exact purpose.

Sinestro Batman was supposed to be my Battfleck custom body and I'll do that one eventually, have too many other projects on my hands right now.

I have 3 pre-orders (Riddler, Superman, and Tim Drake) from Amazon all saying they are arriving today by 10pm, but not one of them has actually shipped yet, so that's not going to happen. I ordered them all within minutes of them going live, but it seems I'm pretty far down on the list of people who are actually receiving them. Hopefully they'll still show up sometime this week.

Whoever said Firestorm was built on PP Superman was totally right, just noticed the reused thighs and abdomen myself. Not a bad way to use those pieces.

Also opened my blue figures. Knightfall Batman really is wonderful, even if he's got a tiny crotch and big feet. Nothing really new to add here, it's been said a milion times already. One of the best Batman figures of all time.

As for Blue Beetle? Yeah, he's pretty good, like the premium paint finish and the swirly twirly plastic, it's almost transluscent in places which really enhances the alien effect. I chose the version with wings but I sure as hell have to figure out an arm cannon for him now.
