Captain Carrot arrived yesterday from BBTS.Β I went in on this guy just reading good things about him and seeing no reviews.Β He's as advertised, a lot of fun with good sculpt and poseability.Β I was hoping the ears would be articulated and they are.Β The alt hands are nice.Β My only gripe is that his lower legs are all red plastic and the top part of his lower legs should clearly be yellow like the rest of his pants.Β At $30, the money should not have run out there.Β Besides that, this is the kind of thing I'm finding myself more interested in these days.Β Something unique, that stands out, that I don't already have.Β For the most part I'm over buying Flashes and Captain Americas and C-lister's on standard bucks.Β But float me something like a Captain Carrot and I may bite.

I knew it! Same height as the undersized Tactical Suit. Looks like Jesse EisenLuthor cosplaying in a padded Batsuit. [Leto wicked Joker laugh] 🤣😂
Β
I guess I should know better at this stage and look before leaping. Honestly, I think Mattel did Cassie better.I bought Cassie Batgirl site unseen-no brainer.....but god thats an awkward looking figure. If Target cancel on me it might be a blessing in disguise.
Why would you buy something you don't like?

Β
You can see in the other video there's no wash on Batfleck's back.
Β
That upper torso articulation is top-notch.Β Β From the waist-up some of these recent McF figures really pose as well as any action figure line other than stuff like revoltech.Β The diaper is still an issue but he looks pretty good overall, unless you care about scaling (RIP)

LOL is that meant to say that scaling is a lost cause for this line?Β Yes, yes that is probably accurate.Β Β
You know how Transformers have Soundwave and Starscream, and when they're both transformed, Soundwave's cassette player mode is just as big as Starscream's F-14 mode?Β You're just supposed to overlook that and have fun with the transformation part.Β If you're a scale nit-picker, TF isn't the line for you.Β We're in that territory with McFarlane Multiverse.Β Except there's no fun transformation element to fall back on.
Β
It's impossible with Transformers, I say this as a huge Transformers fan.Β Soundwave is one of the heavier Decepticons, maybe bigger than Starscream in bot mode, but no mass displacement is possible in toys.Β They make tiny cassette players in different sets to essentially give that effect.Β Ultra Magnus can carry cars though.Β Some thing we accept.Β There has been a huge emphasis on scale in that line since WFC began and before that fans could roll with it no pun intended.
Β
Point is there's no excuse for McFarlane to be so all over the place.Β Todd likes trading cards and stickers on his packages, he is crazy out of touch in my opinion with what fans would really be hype for.Β He added detail, size and paint forever ago, but has been living off that since without enough progress.Β I'm glad the figure articulate obviously, but they cannot sculpt a superhero physique to save their lives and the collection feels so scattered.Β That's why I like their Page Punchers or story stuff, it's meant to be on its own so to speak and the crazy designs are the things they do make really good.Β But that's not their direction anymore.
Has anyone attempted fo scale down the heads on the Batman and Robin movie figures?
I used to see scaled down heads (from Hot Toys dolls for instance) on Ebay. I have no idea how its done...but I'd be interested in that Ivy head if it could fit on a smaller body (6 inch scale).
Hey gang,Β
Β
A couple of questions please Β
First, any idea when First Appearance Batman is getting shown?
And, was there ever anything definitive said about either Az-Bats getting a repainted rerelease, or an Az-Bats 2.0 (upgraded armor)?
Thanks!

1939 Batman and nu52 Batman are supposedly the βnextβ wave and should be showing fairly soon. I know Iβm incredibly stoked for 39 Bats: I hope he has a big cloth wing-cape.
Nothing official for AzBats, but the leaked list has a Bane v Batman two-pack on it, which could well be a rerelease of both MegaFig Bane and also likely either Knightfall Batman or AzBats. With Parallax about to be rereleased, seems very likely the same will happen for AzBats in some regard, and I also feel pretty confident the armored versions of AzBats (both blue and red, with one being an easy repaint of the other) will also be released. I mean: a Batman in crazy armor with blades and wings and pouches? Thatβs what Todd dreams of at night.

I'm pretty sure they just 3D scan them with an app on their phones or some other device, upload it to a sculpting/modeling app, and 3D print the heads out in resin.

@aceofknaves awesome I really really canβt wait I just hope heβs properly scaled thatβs my main concern here
