Interesting. I don't need to double up and I don't think MTS is easy to cancel. I appreciate the head's up though! I'll check them out next time.
And I'm an idiot. It was Black Manta I missed at Walmart. A regular Sinestro is on its way. I highly recommend avoiding getting older if at all possible.
What's up with the Bug's ass-end? Is that a removable top? Is it gear storage? It may be transparent, is it a light-up engine?
Even better than a one-seater it's a two-seater so he can make out with Silk Spectre! Wait, I think I read the wrong Blue Beetle comic...
I think you meant Booster Gold. 😁 At least that is who I’m hoping to put in that second seat some day. Watchmen in this style would be interesting…
Edit: I totally missed that Booster makes a cameo on the back of The Bug box. I guess he’ll be taking that seat sooner than expected.
The Brainiac Skull Ship is for Super Powers what the "Classic Superman" is for Multiverse. Half-assed, cheap, insulting. This was the last thing I was looking forward to this year from McFarlane. I'm done with Multiverse and SP now.
so because there’s a cheap crappy vehicle in a cheap crappy retro line you’re done with the other line he makes…?
The Bug looks fantastic! I can't wait to pick it up.
I have no idea what that Gold Label Brainiac is from, but I love the cape! I'm really excited for this wave.
It's from a later era where he was in possession of a human host.
Thanks! I don't remember that at all.
@scottg10 Nice catch on Booster Gold. I hadn't noticed that. Hopefully that means the following wave will be close behind.
If you still want everything
McFarlane has the vehicle bundle that has 2 brainiac ships, beetle ship, and the brainiac variant
entertainment earth has the bundle of 6 figures
I am trying very hard to resist this line but dang it Todd is making it hard. I had and loved the original Super Powers Line. SIGH. I do not need to collect another line....I do not need to collect another line.....

I'm told this is the spring-loaded button to pop open the wings.
@sgtstinky Yeah I’ve been able to resist this line pretty easily until seeing that Kilowog and Blue Beetle and now I’m being tested.
Seeing that this is based on a planned original SP design does make it a little better, but I still think it's odd that the money and effort went to making the Bug Ship a bigger and more elaborate vehicle when the Skull Ship is an older and more iconic design. Imagine if it was larger, with a cockpit between the eyes, and had posable tentacles for grabbing figures and perching to give the illusion of flight.
No, I was done with Multiverse before these reveals. The COIE wave was the proverbial straw for me.

Makes perfect sense to me. Given the turn around time on toys I wouldn't be surprised if the decision to do the Bug was influenced by the fact that it was going to be featured in the Blue Beetle film. It's also gonna be the closest thing to a Justice League carrier until he gives us a Javelin, so that also makes sense to me.

The Bug Ship dates to the late 60s & was designed by Steve Ditko. Its analog appears in the Watchmen. Not sure the Skull ship is more iconic; it def isn't older.

Agreed. It's not hard to see the rationale for this. Also heroes outsell villains.
