I don't collect the vehicles but I do want the Panic in the Sky Brainiac. Both Brainiac ships do look like floats in a parade. It fits the toy look but it would be great if it was enclosed and similar to the ship in the comic books.
They are not identical but the Blue Beetle's Bug is similar to the popcorn holder that was released for the movie.
I love the new additions (especially old school Brainiac in the main line); as well as all of the goofy ships. I feel like this line, as clumsy as it is, is hitting the childhood nostalgia groove better than most lines aiming for that feeling.
But how in the heck is the line 7 waves in (and surpassing the originals line's #'s) - with NO other female characters in sight outside of Wonder Woman?!? Todd loves Batgirl, he seems to like Catwoman and even Supergirl's been making some headway there. Can we get at least one of them? And if he feels the market is more focused on the modern gals - Poison Ivy or Harley Quinn?
With that said, though - I'd prefer Black Canary (for the Heroes) and Cheetah (for the Legion of Doom). The lines got a nice, funky mix of characters and I feel like they'd be more fun (and also harken back to the glory days of DC's 80's comics a bit more).
Anyway...for any McF employees lurking - love the line and love what you're doing. But throw us some superpowered women please!
Definitely need more women. Just Wonder Woman is not going to cut it...
I would love Catwoman, Batgirl, Black Canary, & Cheetah at a minimum.
It'd be nice if McFarlane could double the number of females in a Super Powers line by adding just ONE more 😆
Definitely those, plus Mera, Starfire, Raven, Cheetah, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy all seem like low-hanging fruit.
I'd love a classic purple dress Catwoman, but also one based on the late 80's/early 90's prototype that was going to be used in the Batman Returns line if they didn't get the movie reference in time. People mistakenly believe it's from Super Powers, so it'd be fun to see it here, for sure.
Batgirl has been my number one want for a Super Powers figure since I was originally playing with these toys as a a kid. I hope we can start seeing some Bat-cast besides Batman and Robin (pretty tired of the variants). Two-Face, Riddler, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow are among my top wants.
And man, I'd love the original Outsiders at this scale. Katana, Halo, Geo-Force, Black Lightning, and Metamorpho, all in their Bronze Age costumes. Kid me would've freaked out about those guys. I know Geo-Force and Halo are a stretch, but the other three are getting some mainstream recognition finally in movies and TV. Seems like it'd be a good time to make Metamorpho in particular with the new Superman movie coming out...
And bring on the playsets, Todd! The Batcave, Titans Tower, JLA Satellite, Fortress of Solitude, Daily Planet, Themyscira, Apokolips, OA! The list goes on and on!
All of these suggestions are excellent. Definitely want more women, more villains, and more variety.
I’m hoping Kilowog’s blank big-boi body opens things up for bruisers like Mongul, classic Darkseid, Lobo, etc.
We definitely need a blank femme body for various and sundry spandex-clad ladies. And that Year One-style Catwoman would be *amazing*.
And I know he’s not exactly obscure or under-used, but I *really* want a Joker. His original SP figure was very specific to the era in terms of sculpt and color, and I’d love to see a “scarier” headsculpt and a couple different colorways: deep/bright purple suit and also black tuxedo come to mind: in fact a Killing Joke-styled “Red Hood” Joker with removable helmet/cape would be an absolute smash and a perfect fit for the line. And I’m always going to be in favor of more Bat-villains, especially guys who barely missed the cut for SP and were done subsequently by Toy Biz, like say Riddler and Two-Face. Actually we just need a solid “guy in a suit” sculpt for Harvey, Clark Kent, CEO Lex Luthor, the Question, etc.
My number one want right now is easily Scarecrow in the old Legion of Doom style. I'd love to get most of the characters mentioned, but I would be very sad to see the line end without him.
My number one want right now is easily Doomsday and the Reign of Superman figures because I saw some guys customs online and they looked dope!
This line would be ripe for Metal Men and Doom Patrol figures.
I only just jumped on board with this line (and have luckily managed to track down everything except Reverse Flash). It's clear to me that if Judomaster can finally get a figure, anybody's possible.
Just opened the Whirly-Bat (it's on sale on Amazon for just under $13, so I pulled the trigger). SO. MUCH. FUN. I love this thing, maybe even more than the McFarlane Batmobile. It's the perfect size, the and the engineering on the spinning blades is so smooth. It's interesting that I have dozens of super articulated figures, but this little gizmo and a 7 POA figure can bring me so much joy. Definitely makes me feel like a kid again.
