That AmiAmi shipping price is just plain robbery. None of the others I've seen do anything like that except Medicom's own site which is mostly broken and charges something outrageous like $60 per figure for shipping overseas. When you ask them about it they just say "we don't control shipping prices." They stopped caring about that site years ago for whatever reason, and oddly they've never listed their Marvel figures on it. I bought Superman Hush there when it released just fine with reasonable shipping, but around 2022 the shipping prices went nuts and have stayed nuts.
I'm waiiting on amiami to charge me for my for Riddler, but I think I'm going to let that one go. They always threaten to cut off my account if I cancel something, but they eventually come crawling back later so I'm not worried 😋
Well, they apparently sent me an email for payment but it went to my junk mail (that's never happened before). I didn't see it, so in response they actually suspended my account and told me I need to be "more vigilant in email" lol I guess there was no crawling back this time.
I replied with a brief message instructing them to eat a bag of dicks, and that is where we currently are 🤣 I think my time with AmiAmi may have reached its end. However....now that BBTS is cutting out Sezzle as a payment option, I may have to stick with Ami after all once the suspension is over because they let you use paypal's pay in 4 🤔 I like having the option to make payments on things when a ton of preorders all hit at once. Decisions, decisions.
All of this talk of AmiAmi's vindictiveness towards customers regarding pre-orders or order fulfillment has moved them towards the bottom of my list of Japanese retailers.
I do like their site though. I use their Bookmarks feature to track when things are coming out since it shows updated release months on the bookmarks page. I've probably used AmiAmi bookmarks 2-3 dozen times over the past two years, yet I've only actually ordered from those bookmarks twice at most, and even then it was because I couldn't find those items at HLJ or Hobby Search.
Hush Bats (blue) is getting a re-release if anyone is still after him. Already sold out on HLJ but may still be some on Hobby Search.
Likewise, Daredevil is available again too but likely not for long.

Finally got around to unboxing my Hush Scarecrow, and I dig it. The lack of accessories is definitely a bummer, but then again, his appearance in the comic is so short that, short of a motorcycle, there's really nothing else they could've given him- that "piece of straw" accessory that the first one came with was always a bit silly. The hands are nice, if a little spider or facehugger-like. I'm also curious as to why they made a whole new mask design for him- it's definitely not the one from the comic. Not too dissimilar, but more realistic proportions, missing the little nose patch, etc. I like it well enough, but I do like that comic accurate one too.
The arituclation is really where this guy shines, like most MAFEX figures. Can really strike some fun, expressive poses. He also feels a lot sturdier than some of the MAFEX figures I've handled in the past (at least I think it was MAFEX- I always get them and Figuarts mixed up). I'd definitely have preferred getting him cheaper, but if you can grab him on sale, go for it! I am tempted to pick up a Hush Batman, if nothing else.
One silly question I do have is regarding the swappable heads. When pulling the base head off the body, it only pulls the head, not the full neck, whereas the interchangeable heads come with separate neck pieces too. It looks like it would only be an issue on the unmasked head, since that's a totally different neck piece (I can't quite tell if the neckpiece on the screaming head is longer or not?), but how do you swap the neck pieces without damaging the figure? I tried pulling (though, admittedly, not terribly hard), but it wasn't budging, and I didn't want to damage anything. Truth be told, I'll probably never display the unmasked head, and I'd only swap to the screaming neck if it is indeed a bit longer, but for future reference on any other MAFEX figures I might get.
This month's reveal on the DC side is an Aquaman 2 Arthur. Looks nice and all but nigh on identical to the existing SHF one from last year, maybe a tad taller, different water effect.
Superboy has been moved back to April
New figure announcement. Looks great from what we can see.
Got excited when I saw a Mafex Flash announcement! But then it was a movie figure. Happy for those that want it. I would eat up a comic Mafex Justice League in a heartbeat.
Okay, now we can leave the DCEU behind forever and start doing comic figures again? Right?
I cannot wait for these DCEU figures to stop taking release spots.

Same.
@tsi Yeah. There's still what, Peacemaker, Bloodsport/shot/whatever, JL Wonder Woman 2.0, trad colours Clark 2.0, Flash in the Returns suit, another Aquaman and Black Manta, and possibly a Flash Keaton Bats too, right? Our sadness will go on a while yet...
Yeesh. That's four months of releases.
Just give me that Iceman. And a comic Wonder Woman.
