BBTS must have gotten some more Eradicators because he's back in stock now. It's been a very rough month for me and my family. I bought this A. because I want the Reign of Supermen complete and B. to force some normalcy back into my life even for just a little bit.
I did not know about the S shields being off before I read this. I'm going to try not to let it get to me.
screams and howls into the void
Still no sign of Tim, it's M3gan and Final Swing Spidey this month.
eye twitches
They have to end 2024 with a Robin PO. Ever after Christmas spending, folks will be excited AF to hit preorder.
He might be my most anticipated figure across all lines. Batman & Robin: you need it.
I need that Robin, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne preorder STAT.
Superboy delayed to March.
Just got a notification from AmiAmi about what will actually come out this month -- Hush Riddler, Hush Scarecrow, DCEU Black Adam, and MCU Black Panther. I think it's been awhile since they've had four releases in a month.
Great looking figure.
Looks like Riddler will be the next DC release

I don't think he's going to be particularly well articulated, but I don't necessarily need him to be. I already have a pose in mind.
Welp, Hush Robin preorders are up. I feel like I need a good classic 90s Robin to go with Knightfall Batman, so I'll snag one. He looks pretty good in the promo shots except for those elbows. Which is a bummer, but they should disappear when he's in a pose.
I haven't picked many of these up, but dang, has the price ever risen. Crusader bats was 9600 yen. Comic Spidey reissue was like 7000. Now this is 11300? Ouch.
@karl_space He is $75 at nin-nin right now. But yeah, it seems like the import companies essentially have adjusted their price either in relation to inflation in Japan, or because they know they do a lot of US and global sales, and that their increase in yen simply keeps the figure in the same target price range in US dollars. If US customers paid ~$75 for a MAFEX 5 years ago, why not now?
I heard once that there is a law in Japan that re-released products have to keep the same price as when they debuted. I don't know if that's true, but it seems to be - which would explain why the MAFEX Boba Fetts were so cheap when they were reissued. It would also explain why SHF tends to re-release their figures with tiny improvements or mods... so they can claim it's a new release and charge more yen.
Anyhow - Robin is here!!!! I absolutely can't wait to have Batman and Robin together on my shelf. Loved the dynamic duo since I was a kid, but I never actually got a Robin figure as a child, aside from a non-articulated figurine of him and Batman that I would stick in a used super-friends Batmobile I got at a garage sale. I have the MAFEX Carrie Kelly but it's not the same. Speaking of which - anyone have any good recs for a Dick Greyson head for that body? I've seen a few kit bashes floating around.
Robin was my most-anticipated MAFEX figure behind Iceman. I'm severely disappointed by the single-jointed elbows, but it's still a day-one pre-order.
It looks like the R on his chest isn't quite right (I know, I know...being picky here). The 'R' is supposed to come to a stylized point on the bottom right, this looks to be rounded instead. Mafex does this with their Superman line as well, with the logos being not quite right for the story they represent. Ah, well. Ordered at AmiAmi.
The only DC figures I collect are Mafex - I've picked up most of the comic stuff they've done over the last 2 years. Robin has been my most anticipated DC figure by far. Single-jointed elbows is disappointing. Do they typically show off most of the accessories we should expect in the promo pics? If so, the set seems pretty sparse for the price.
He looks like a solid figure overall for sure, just having a hard time accepting something less than perfect for $75 (closer to $100) after taxes and shipping.
