Thanks for the side by side.  It's absolutely thicker.  I could maybe see the arms being the same, possibly abs.  Not much else.  Kudos to them.  I wish we got a panel or something to hear about it.  When we might see pre-orders?  January?  There's kind of a lot coming.

btw as I started slowly buying some Mafex and researching I did stumble on some alleged "leaks"  or inside info. It doesn't match up with this DC display, but the Marvel one somewhat did.  So maybe it's all hooey but Superman Red/Blue and Green Arrow were on it.  I wonder if that could be.....Morrison JLA?

Maaaaan, I'd lose my shit if Mafex did Morrison's JLA.

I still have that blue and grey Hush Batman. It's one of my favorite figures and right now, the definitive Batman in my collection.

But seeing the one with the yellow oval... I'd be down for him, Clark AND Bruce.

Honestly, I never thought they'd do separate civilian figures. Part of the reason I got the blue and grey Batman was because it came with that cool Bruce Wayne head.

You have to remember that these are imports to everyone not in Japan, and Medicom is a Japanese company, so if they ARE going by storyline, they might be doing arcs that have SOME kind of popularity there.

That makes sense, and I have no idea how well known CoIE was in Japan. Maybe the recent animated adaptations will spark an interest in the storyline there? I know it's likely a pipe dream, but imagine how amazing it would be to get Perez based figures from Mafex!

This is a quick, crude side by side of the 2 figures from that display, and it looks like it might be a little thicker than the V1 we got.

That definitely looks thicker than the first version. Not sure I need another Jim Lee Batman...but I'll likely be tempted when I see the promos.

Imagine it...figures of the expected core seven, as well as Zauriel, Aztek, Prometheus, The Key, Big Barda, Orion...the list goes on and on! Imagine a Mafex Plastic Man!!!!

Does anyone have any idea what comic stories could be somewhat popular in Japan?  Marvel and DC haven't always published there, and DC in particular hasn't done it much at all that I've heard of.  I've seen strong evidence that Japan's first big introduction to Marvel was in the Capcom games, and that DC has had an even smaller presence there.

I also don't know what decades have had any kind of release of any titles translated to Japanese.  I'm also not clear at all on what Japanese opinions on Korea were from the end of World War 2 onward.  Before WW2 Japan hated pretty much everybody and were doing terrible things to the Korean population that they had taken by force in 1910, but that definitely changed in the decades following 1945.  Were the Japanese totally cool with a South Korean like Jim Lee by 2002 or so when Hush released?  Probably, but I'm not at all sure of it.

I think a lot of people would. They're obviously continuing with DC and if it's truly by storyline that might be a good one to pursue.  If the rumors I saw (StrongCollectors maybe) were true about Red/Blue Superman and Green Arrow and they need to be part of the same story that would be 90s JLA. Not gonna get excited now, but Howard Porter's work and maybe the Hyperclan and Zauriel.....wowza.

@kal-el

Equus and Zod from that storyline would be so cool!  At least they do have the perfect Superman....although this new Batman might make another likely.  If Clark has a swappable torse to show him busting out of the shirt and tie it would be legendary in its own right.

Hoping someone can help me out with a referral: I’m trying to find someone to paint the black shading on the Knight Crusader Batman head.

I’ve tried a couple of customizers on Instagram, but they are not taking orders right now. Any leads would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I'm disappointed with Tim. The yellow laces all the way down his chest? Aren't they supposed to stop at his nipples?

His belt looks a bit weird too. His hair is pretty short as well.

Anyone else underwhelmed with him?

I'm not underwhelmed at all. He was probably my favorite reveal from the exhibition

The laces generally stop just below the collar, but this figure is specifically based on Hush.

My Bane and Phoenix came in yesterday. I don't really know what to say about Bane. I'm blown away. He immediately became my favorite figure of the year. He can hit every pose I want, the sculpt is gorgeous, and he's imposing as hell on the shelf.

I've said this countless times about MAFEX figures over the years, but I've been dreaming of this figure for decades, and all of a sudden I have it in hand.

I never felt the need to replace my ML 80th Anniversary Hulk, but after getting Bane, I'd love to see what MAFEX could do with Bruce.

Fair point. I guess I never noticed the Jim Lee specificities before. Thanks for the picture.

Still disappointed though. I prefer the more angled belt and spikier hair, like he always had prior to this arc.

Wish Mafex would do a general line based on great comic looks.

It's an excellent figure.  I almost didn't pull the trigger but I'm happy I did.

Looks awesome!  I hope you get their Crusader Batman to go with, perfect 80s/90s Batman to me.  I just couldn't afford Bane at release time and now....he's gone.  When the solicits for HUSH's next wave of figures I hit I will likely be motivated though to hunt stuff down.  Been rebudgeting as their stuff has been impressing more and more.

I'm hoping for Knightfall Batman to go back up at some point.
