Thank you to everyone who gave me shipping info.

Ending up ordering from AmiAmi and got it today. I adore it and love more than I even imagined. The blue looks much lighter in person than it did in some of the press shots, which is a huge positive as someone who likes a lighter blue rather than a royal blue on this costume.

As someone who started reading comics in 1993, Knightfall and Fatal Attractions were probably the two biggest comics events of my childhood. Looking back, they’re still the ones that feel most epic and consequential in a lot of ways. I’ve wanted a long eared Batman ever since I saw those Knightfall covers on the comics rack at my local gas station and can’t believe we finally got one.

My only two (minor) gripes with the figure are the painting on the bat emblem, which is not very precise on mine and seems pretty shaky on a lot of the others I’ve seen. This is weird, because far less reliable companies paint that thing pristinely all the time. I’m also somewhat bothered that they didn’t paint the black border. I know it’s sometimes depicted as having a border and sometimes depicted as not having one, but I tend to think the border looks better. Plus, it’s actually sculpted in there and looks weird unpainted.

The other is that the diving head was probably a bit unnecessary. I would’ve rather had a stoic long eared profile or Bruce head, and I imagine most other people would have as well. I appreciate the attention to detail in including that head, but I doubt many people at all will choose to display it.

Otherwise, this thing is gorgeous. I love how the cape poses and the lightweight material is much more conducive to everything that the heavy stuff they used on the Hush figure. To me, it completely encapsulates this era of Batman and definitely feels like the definitive 80’s/early 90’s Batman figure in this scale. I think it would take something pretty magical for me to purchase another version of this character in this costume at this scale after getting this one.

Is there a post earlier in the thread with details about why people hate the Knightfall headsculpts?  They look great to me, but I'm mostly a Marvel zombie so I'm not well-versed in the history of Batman's looks.  I wasn't reading anywhere around Knightfall; this Batman just reminds me of the 1970s/1980s costume from when I was a kid.

My problem with the headsculpt is that it reuses Jim Lee headsculpt from the previously released Hush Batman, and was just given longer ears. Which is IMO not excusable on a 100$ figure.

Couldn't agree more. The visible (human) ears on the side of the head really detract from the Knightfall era accuracy. I also think the heads and body needed a subtle wash at least, and maybe heavy black on the face to match that era.

I have a fix though. DCUC wave 1 Batman head fixes both the ear and the dark mask issues and pulls the figure right into that era. Blues match reasonably well and head is simply a pop and swap (maybe sits a smidge low but is acceptable for me). Try it out!

Medicom formally teased their impending Bane release.  Says July in the translation, so them announcing it in June must mean the July 1 date is right.

Because the new setup for the site is buggy and janky as butt. Only one image per post will show up.

IF you use IG.

You also don't need BBCode or any other code formatting. Just post the image link that ends in ".jpg" straight into the reply window.

I can post multiple images from flikr by doing that.
