Thinking about it, I wonder what's next for the DC side given they're coming to the end of the Hush and Death/Return crews. I'm still holding out hope for Tim, plus a Jim Lee Diana would be (dare I say?) wonderful too but from there, what else? The traditional JLA line up? The Titans, the Suicide Squad?

Alas, I know there's no chance of my most wanted (the full JLI crew, dammit!)

Gimme that Jim Lee Wonder Woman, along with classic versions of Captain Marvel/Shazam, Hal Jordan Green Lantern, Barry Allen Flash, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman and Green Arrow and I'll be happy.

Green Lantern and Mongul were pretty important in Reign of the Supermen I think. As was Supergirl.  Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and Guy Gardner were in the Doomsday rampage. I guess we have to be reasonable but it's justifiable that they should expand the roster.

I suppose JLA by Morrison could qualify as a big story, but I might consider COIE, Kingdom Come or new52/Rebirth to garner more attention.  I think Flash, Aquaman and Wonder Woman have enough notoriety at this point to justify Mafex figures.  They're expanding to The Avengers over at Marvel without being specific to a particular artist or story.

It would have been cool for Mafex to solicit a Knightfall/Jim Balent Catwoman or a Hush/Knightfall TIM DRAKE Robin instead of stealth Ironman for this month's solicitations. Would have been a better fit for Superboy.

They weren't at that event, so it wouldn't make much sense. I wouldn't expect them until 2025. MAFEX Phoenix was a new solicitation last year. Her prototype was never shown, so there is hope we see something completely new (like Catwoman). Maybe they will make Fallout TV show figures. (They did The Boys from Amazon, so who knows)

This was quite a line up.  I was reading a lot of 90's DC.  It started with Knightfall, Death of Superman, Wally's Flash run, Kyle's GL, and the Peter David "hook hand" Aquaman.  Between me and my brother, we were buying all of those books.  Then this book came along and brought them all together.  Kind of like MCU phase 1.

I can only geek out over figure possibilities so much, though, because the reality for me is all of these 90's DC figures I'd like from Mafex would be unaffordable for me.  Still fun to imagine.

Actually, it just occurred to me that James Gunn is intent on bringing The Authority to the big screen, right? Gimme Jenny Sparks. It'd probably just release minutes before I die of old age but it'd be a happy few minutes.

Does anyone 3D print?  A talented digital artist on Insta (azrachcollections) has a pretty solid library of Mafex styled figures for Doomsday, Flash, Aquaman and other Batman Superman figures.  He's regularly posting.  I inquired and he said he would print out figures for me that I could paint but after a few exchanges it's clear he's not going to do shit for me in that regard.  Not that he has to, but I would have paid for it reasonably.

In any case if anyone has a 3D printer or is inclined to learn it's a way to build out the collection in the meantime should you be passionate about it.

Or...you can just sell some old crappy figures\Marvel Legends from your collection that you don't need anymore 😉

At least that's what I would have done if I saw MAFEX JLA team. But that's not going to happen anyway...is it? IS IT?

I've been doing exactly that recently and I've put a very substantial chunk of change back in my pocket.  And now that it's there.....I kind of want to keep it.  Just to see if I can.

Decided to cancel my PO for the Mafex DKR Batman w/horse and Joker

Batman - while the figure on the horse is a striking image, the fact the horse is basically a statue really inhibits any posing choices. Plus the "knife attack" section is wrong as the figure has the yellow oval, while the Batman/Joker fight scene in DKR shows its the black bat symbol (unless there's a way to take apart the DKR Mafex 106  Batman and use it on that figure)

Joker - it looks good, but its very similar to the original Joker and as much as I like the laughing head without the Batarang embedded in the eye like the original version has

I can't justify buying it at full price just for that accessory

Hopefully they will go on clearance, if not it won't be the end of the world though

Finally pulled the trigger on Hush Batman two days ago from BBTS.  According to tracking it's already out for delivery.  It should be a nice end to a long week.

Lucky you!  I shipped mine from BBTS a couple days ago but still says "processing"  looking forward to getting HUSH Batman in the house.  I will judge him intensely as it may influence future purchases.

I too will judge him intensely.  At that price, he should be.  He showed up today along with Captain Carrot and GI Joe Snow Serpent.  It was a very nice haul and I'm impressed with the two day shipping from BBTS (I believe their warehouse is in Wisconsin and I'm in Minnesota, so that's probably a factor).  I've opened the Captain and the Snow Serpent already, with Todd and GI Joe I know what I'm getting.  Saving Batman for when the girls go to bed because I have to take my time with that one and really soak everything in.  From what I'm hearing, it keeps getting better with every new release.....this one being the third, so my expectations are high.
