The Kaiyu 1/12 ZSJL Joker figure has finally released on 5ktoys. I was starting to think this was never coming out. It looks very Mezco-ish:

They both look pretty good. Zod is supposed to come with a helmeted head and a unmasked head. I'm not sure but I think the armor is removable as well.
Question for those in the know... what is the best 1/12 Dark Knight Batman and Batpod set? I'm leaning towards Mafex for Batman but in thoughts on the Batpod? Thanks!

You're going to see differing opinions on the Batpod, and you're probably going to see people call me "crazy"...but hear me out....skip on trying to match your Mafex Batman with the Mafex Batpod and go with the Mattel "Movie Masters" version of the 'Pod.
I know, I know...but I'm serious. If you could land a Mafex Batpod at retail price, then I'd say to go with that one because it is definitely spectacular. However, the Movie Masters Batpod is no slouch, and when you consider the aftermarket prices on both of them, I highly highly recommend the Movie Masters version. It has big rubber tires, outstanding paint apps, which I actually prefer to the Mafex paint apps, and all of your 1/12 figures will fit on it. I currently have mine displayed with the Figuarts TDKR Catwoman on it, and it's a great display piece. Everyone will tell you "Mafex! Mafex!" and it is indeed a great piece, but cost vs cost - my recommendation is the Mattel Movie Master. Especially when the Movie Masters version runs around $100 on the aftermarket vs at least twice that with the Mafex.
As for Batman, I have the Mafex TDKT 3.0 version, and he's probably the best I've messed around with so far. Pricey, but probably the best. The Soap Studio one isn't bad, it uses soft goods (well, hard goods, but still - it's like a Mezco), but the articulation and the face sculpt leave a bit to be desired. If you can find the Mafex 3.0 for a decent price, I'd jump on that one.
Thanks for info on the Batpod. I was wondering how that stacked next to mafex... I think I had it back in the day but I can't remember.
I'll see if I can't find a good deal on the 3.0 Batman.
Mattel bat pod is the best, way more durable than Mafex or figuarts

He is indeed very much like a Mezco. Cloth goods clothing, comes with a few guns, the crown of thorns, a crowbar. Interestingly, he even comes with a little broken domino mask lol I thought that was a nice touch!
