May I ask which Target that was?My local Target has had a sale for the figures at $15 each for the past two weeks. The other Target in town did not have this price, so it must be a unique store sale. Today I found the whole Maxie Zeus wave for the first time at this store. Score! At that price I bought them all including that terrible Batman repaint.
Even as a twelve-year-old I thought the Batman repaints were stupid, so I was disgusted with seeing this as a requirement for a collector line build-a-figure. When my 8 year-old saw it though, he called it a “really cool-looking Batman.” So maybe those designers back in the 90s had a good idea of how to design for kids.
Nashua, NH Northwest location. The other Nashua one was full price.
A while ago someone posted a link to a bicycle rack that held the Batwing perfectly. Does anyone still by some chance have that link? I’d love to get another to mount my second Batwing identically.
So I called the Northwest location (thanks btw) and the guy checked the shelves and said there was nothing there OR in the phone system.May I ask which Target that was?My local Target has had a sale for the figures at $15 each for the past two weeks. ....I don't know whether or not that's true LOL.
A Best Buy exclusive seems unusual, but I fully intend to pre-order this!
Tough break for McFarlane to announce the Clayface reissue hot on the heels of Mondo's version of the character. Not that the two lines are in direct competition given the price and scale, but Mondo's looks just like the character while this old mold looks dated.

True, but of course one of those is 1/6th scale and $260-$280 and the other is 1/12th scale and probably $25. I don't really believe that they're competing against each other (which you also said). While I'd love to have both, the price on the Mondo version automatically prices me out from even considering theirs.
I'd be quite surprised if Clayface only ends up being $25-30 like the rest of the re-release figures. He was a deluxe before, and something tells me Todd ain't gonna show any mercy (though I'd love to be proven wrong- maybe he can consider the swappable parts in place of the BAF piece). Then again, I'm surprised he didn't cut any accessories in the transfer. He seems to be coming with everything he came with before. Luckily, I still have the old DCC one, and the Mondo on the way, so I've no need for this one, but I'm happy for the folks who missed out before.
I'll probably buy it just to fill a space in the collection. Neither of the heads he comes with looks good to me, and looks more like TNBA art style to me (yes I know the Clayface from that one was bulkier and grey, I'm referring to the simplified line style). Which also tells me we're not getting any sort of improvement on that fugly Penguin from this reissue line. It NEVER looked right imo.
I have waited and waited for Todd to release Clayface in the animated line. I had everything I wanted out of the animated line when DCC made it, but I missed Clayface and never wanted to pay the $200 the figure went for.
But now, it shall be mine. I do hate it is a Best Buy exclusive, as I don't have one near me. But maybe I can get it from the website, or if nothing else hopefully, this new release won't be too costly on Ebay.

bet it’s $39.99
Does Best Buy charge up front for preorders? Or when it ships?

In my experience it usually waffles back and forth on your credit card, though not as much as Target, before it finally charges you as it ships.
Be advised for those ordering Clayface from BestBuy, BestBuy is notorious for trying to sneak $h!z into your cart when you check out. In the case of Clayface it's a "Crunchyroll" anime streaming subscription. I had to go back and cancel my order and reorder because I didn't notice when I was ordering via mobile.
For anyone needing the link:
@jtmarsh thanks! They pulled that shit on me and I didn't notice until you mentioned it. Had to cancel and reorder. I'm sure that would have automatically renewed too, sneaky bastards.
