Figures Toy Company did Mad Hatter, Shame, Alfred and O'Hara, and Funko did Bookworm. So at some point all of those likenesses were available. I assume in this case the likenesses came with the license, Todd isn't finding these folks to sign deals, WB already has done so with them or their estate. Whether others ran out or could not be renewed, like Yvonne Craigs, is hard to say.

Gordon looks different in the comics due to likeness clearance issues. In the prior forum I posted after doing a search on the actor it is unclear if he has any heirs, so possibly no one to approve.

Since Funko did two versions of Mr. Freeze - Preminger and Wallach (chase) and McFarlane has already produced a Preminger Freeze, I wonder if the rights to produce a Wallach Freeze still exist.

I wonder if the budget for the line drops now that it's general release.  With Target, they had a guaranteed sale of so many units. Hope we get:

the Bat Copter (with a shark would be keen)

Commisioner Office

Bruce and Dick in Sweaters

Gordon and O'Hara

A fun exclusive would be a Submarine set with Masked Penguin, Riddler in Suit, Merredith Catwoman, Bomb accesory

Has anyone in the UK managed to get the 66 bat boat at all? No-one seems to have gotten it in stock and Forbidden Planet keeps pushing the release date back even though the other figures that came out at the same time have all shown up here?

the 66 batgirl wave are marked down at target. your store may vary, one of my stores got them for $9.99 but this morning found another store having them for $5.99.

got batgirl and batman, plan to swap the heads of the batman so he can now ride the batcycle with both hands.

The David Wayne Mad Hatter seems to be the most significant villain they have yet to do.  They have already done the radioactive pink cowl Batman to go with him.  I love that Wayne's Hatter became the 60s Hatter in the comics too.

After the Mad Hatter, I would love to see Bookworm, Shame, and False Face (who i realize was not a major presence on the show but is still a marvelous tribute to the Golden Age basil Karlo Clayface).

Not sure if this was announced previously, but Toy Shiz just did an overview of the new 66 wave and showed that Lord Death Man also has a Plantinum Chase variant that is glow in the dark

Todd McFarlane at Toy Fair 2023 and walkthrough of all his lines. Batman '66 is shown (but not rumored wave nine), which McFarlane said had been "pretty successful" for them. He said they're allowing them now to use that style and add "new stuff," and bringing in "new ideas," instead of going too deep in the "original well." Scroll ahead to about the 30-minute mark. Then at 37:34, a Target exclusive from Batman The Animated Series for an Alfred figure. Unsure of the scale and if it would work/make-do for the '66 line?

Today, I received notifications from Amazon that my order of the Batman and Robin rereleases no longer has an expected delivery date. How bad of a sign is that for my order? I don't think I've received a notification like that before.

@bills-all-day It is not uncommon, and Amazon seems to have had some significant issues getting McFarlane product stocked in a timely manner lately.  I don’t think it increases the odds that they will cancel on you, the order will probably be filled at some point. With that said, a backup option would not hurt.

I got no-delivery-dare notifications for all the other figures in the wave. Didn’t order Batman and Robin.

I also got the same email for all of the next Super Powers and DC Multiverse Collectors waves. It’s been pretty common with Amazon and McFarlane stuff this last year. What’s happened is that I’ve gotten every delayed figure by 4 to 6 weeks later. I’m not in a rush with all the releases between McFarlane lines and other stuff I collect.

McFarlane Toys DC RETRO 6IN WV9 BATMAN 66 BATGIRL (NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN VARIANT)
McFarlane Toys DC RETRO 6IN WV9 BATMAN 66 THE JOKER (NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN VARIANT

Thanks for the list - I looked up the character designs from the show, which I watched once on DVD when they released it and can't recall much of any of it but wasn't that great.

Gordon might be OK as a stand-in, he falls between the TV show and the Batman Animated series look. The Riddler is an odd pick, as near as I can tell he never appeared as a character but was in the opening credits or something, and wore a dark pink color? Batgirl looks like the Mego (and likely the comic) outfit from the time period. Joker the same thing, he is also sporting kind of a proto Batman Animated look. Wondering if they pack in a Batmite somewhere...

I get spreading the line out, might get more interest overall, but a hope they circle back to the main show at some point.

Love that these figures are happening, but I hate it's at the cost of more '66 figures. Releasing them under the banner makes it pretty unlikely for a Gordon to happen in the main line, but I'll want to display this version with the rest of the New Adventures of Batman figures.

I'm actually pretty stoked for the pink Riddler. Really fun choice. I also hope Bat-Mite finds his way into the line as an "accessory."

The only company to attempt figures from this show was Figures Toy Company, and I thought they were pretty off model so I didn't get them. Glad to see Todd making these, but I hope the '66 line is back to show accurate characters soon, even though that feels unlikely now. I still really want a Mad Hatter, Sandman, False Face, Archer, Bookworm, Shame, O'Hara, Gordon, and secret identity versions of Bruce, Dick, and Babs!

I'm in the same boat. I'm only really interested in figures from the 66 show. If these variants keep the line going, I'm all for it, especially if we get figures for characters with likeness rights issues, like Batgirl. However, I think it's a worrying sign that no new show characters have been released in a few waves. Hopefully, my wallet is just getting a rest for a few waves, and figures of the characters you list are in the works.
