I've read a few comments online that the Batman 66 line is done. Has that been confirmed or are folks just speculating? I know the Super Friends wave and McFarlane losing the DC license are not good signs, but I didn't think the Batman 66 line was completely done. I'm hoping for a least 1 more wave to get Mad Hatter, at least.

When McFarlane & team were presenting at WonderCon they said Batman '66 is "winding down" and "we've done every character we could in that TV show for the most part."

It will be such a shame if they don't give us Mad Hatter before the line ends - he's probably the biggest villain not released -  I mean they even made the Pink Cowl Batman already to go with him!

And even if there are rights issues with the TV version they could still do a Batman '66 comic version to get him out

@jamgut Thanks for the info! That certainly doesn't sound good for the line. Does 'winding down' mean done? Probably. But I'm hoping it means 'we'll do one more wave but that's it'. I guess it doesn't make sense for them to definitively state the line in done during a con presentation, but I assume that's what they mean. Bummer

@jag2045 If they don't show a Mad Hatter by NYCC, I plan to make a custom. He feels like the last real gap my the collection. I'm doubtful they'll make him, but I'll hold out hope, especially since they can use the comic likeness workaround again. Thanks for pointing that out!

It would be a shame if they didn't do Mad Hatter, civilian Dick and Bruce for the Library, and the variant Mr. Freeze and Riddler options still left. But if they do stop, it was a great run. Of course Mattel did do their own 66 line, so maybe they might pick it back up?

I'm choosing willful ignorance and taking their response about Batman 66 winding down to just mean the show proper, and that they can still do comic-based figures. Especially with all the other villains that didn't appear in the show being worked into the comic, there's still plenty of fertile ground for them to sew if they wanted to. It would feel odd (but totally Todd) to give us a villain like Lord Death Man, who only appeared in the comics, but not other, more well known villains who also only appeared there- Scarecrow, Ivy, Grundy, Harley, etc. But even if we didn't get them, like others have said, Mad Hatter is the most glaring omission and one that I'd definitely want before the line is up. I'd have to imagine there's some opportunity for part re-use with him as well, so hopefully he wouldn't even cost too much for them to do.
