Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics Movie Figures: Mask Swap

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics 1990 Movie Mask Swap Featured

Given how much we love our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we knew this would come along. But this fast? Stemming from a discussion about how much everyone thought the mouths didn’t really fit the respective personalities of each Turtle, Fwoosh Forum poster FuzzyBlueDemon led the charge and did something about it. You can see that post and all the follow-ups here.

Basically, you use the tried and true “boil and pop” method and remove the top of the heads and then the masks. From there you can swap any mask to any mouthpiece. Options in our toys! While not intentional, it is kinda awesome and makes a pretty good toy even better. Hell, I had only bought Michelangelo (you can see my video review of him here), but after this was discovered I ran right out and bought the other three Turtles.
