Bandai threw their hat into the Kantai Collection action figure world with their announcement of Yamato. You might remember that I pimped Nagato not to long ago. figma’s been the leader in these figure releases, but now Bandai is releasing their own as part of the Armor Girls Project, a series of action figures devoted to art that depicts women dressed up in powered armor. I think I saw this concept in Hobby Japan magazine back in the day, it was a poster for a convention or event. The girl was wearing, I think, Gundam mk 2 armor. I might be misremembering, but I thought that it was a cool concept.
Bandai’s been cranking out some of these concepts into action figures. Now it looks like they are giving figma a run for their money! Yamato looks amazing and is available for pre-order today!
