iGear updated their Facebook page this evening with promo images of two new additions to their popular Mini Warriors series: Busta and Red Baron, based on Transformers characters Wheelie and Powerglide, respectively. These look like two awesome new additions to the Mini Warriors line. No other information was released along with the images, so we really have no idea yet when these two will be available for preorder, but seeing as how the release of their previously announced Mini Warriors (Cogz, Veer, etc.) is right around the corner, hopefully we’ll know more about these two soon.
Red Baron looks like a virtually perfect representation of Powerglide based on his appearance on the G1 cartoon. There have been several Powerglides released by third-party teams in the past few years, but this one definitely looks as though it may be in contention for best of the bunch.
Wheelie has never had a good figure. The closest we’ve come is the legends-class figure from the ’08 Universe line, but even that one really wasn’t all that great. This one, however, looks like it’ll finally do the character justice. It took me a second to figure out why they’re calling him “Busta,” but then it hit me — Busta “Rhymes,” in reference to Wheelie’s way of communicating. Clever. I can’t wait to perch this guy up on Masterpiece Grimlock’s shoulders.
