Terry Moore, critically acclaimed comic book writer and artist is coming to NYCC this year. Some of his comic’s include the extremly popular Strangers In Paradise, Echo, Moon Lake, Runaways, and, Spider-man Loves Mary Jane.

Thursday, February 5, NYCC will be holding a pre-con party open to all NYCC fans and exhibitors at Dave and Busters Time Square from 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm. This event has been created to generate excitement for the weekend ahead and to provide a cool place for fans and exhibitors to continue their con experience after the show closes. |

Tahmoh Penikett Joins Joss Whedon at New York Comic Con |
Actor Tahmoh Penikett is coming to NYCC this year. Tahmoh’s most recent role was that of Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon on Battlestar Galactica. Currently Tahmoh is filming Joss Whedon’s new series Dollhouse. |
Paolo Rivera Lecture on February 4th |
Paolo Rivera: Comics, Color, and Composition:
In preparation for the New York Comic Con, the Brooklyn Public Library will present a lecture on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009. Paolo Rivera, a professional comic book artist since 2002, will give a talk on his career and creative process. The lecture will begin at 7:00pm in the Dweck Center of the Central Library on Grand Army Plaza.

Get Your Show Badge Early |
If you ordered your ticket after January 16th it will not be mailed to you. To gain admission into the show, you will need to bring your barcode to registration at the Javits Center to pick up your badge. THE LINES WILL BE LONG! Be sure to arrive at registration early and be prepared with your barcode. Professionals can come Wednesday, February 4th from 12-4:30pm and Thursday, February 5th from 8am-4:30pm. Consumers can pick up their badges on Thursday, February 5th from 12-4:30pm. |
