Not a recent release, but definitely one worth reviewing. This is a re-release, with updates. figma’s Berserk line of action figures continues to be an excellent line to collect.
It’s hard to imagine that I reviewed Guts Band of the Hawk version way back in 2015, and we never got around to the Black Armor version, Casca or Griffith. We’ll try to remedy that. figma’s recently re-release of the Berserker Armor features some upgrades, some slightly new painting, a sword chock full of blood, and the famous Skull Helmet.
I’ve seen the anime up to where the Berserker Armor is introduced and never really went beyond that. It’s a dark story and I imagine that the manga goes darker, for those of you that play Dark Souls, the game is heavily influenced by Berserk. There’s a huge theme of despair that gets quite depressing. However, the series delivers some incredible designs and armors, which is the main reason that I buy these toys.
figma is producing some of the best 6 inch action figures on the market today, they also make some of the best fantasy figures on the market. Berserk is one of those properties, and they pop on your collection shelf.
Guts comes with extra heads, the Skull Mask, Wolf Mask and Berserker Mask, he also comes with his ultra greatsword, 8 sets of hands, some other stuff, and a hard plastic cape. This cape has to be one of the hardest capes that I’ve ever played with and is pointless, it’s a brick. The rest of the accessories are top notch and fun to play with.
figma’s Guts Berserker armor is super expensive, but a worthy addition to your collection. Tons of articulation, beautifully sculpted, great accessories, and total hand candy. He’s fun to play with, pose and add to your shelves.
