This is one of those sets that I pre-ordered and forgot about, at least until everyone started screaming “IT’S SHIPPING!” Then the excitement hit. And two days later, I’m still having fun with the set.
And really, that’s what it comes down to here. Fun. Sure, Quicksilver’s head may be large and missing the hair horns, along with some shifty paint apps on the costume lightning. Scarlet Witch’s hair may kill all head movement. And Magneto’s cape may be a big heavy back heavy chunk o’ plastic. But I’ll be damned if each and every one aren’t fun and look great, especially Wanda’s face and hair.
Plus there are all the part swapping possibilities. You have to dremel the hell out of the older Pietro’s head to get it to fit on the newer body (and I repainted mine a long time ago). You can use older Magneto heads and parts. And then the new Wanda head fits nicely on the All-Father wave Scarlet Witch nicely.
Now I totally expect a green costume Quicksilver in the near future.
