Bandai: S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Super Gogeta Review

Gogeta is another of Bandai’s recent Dragon Ball Super releases and he is amazing! I love Gogeta and Vegito as concepts and I’ve been wanting a good toy versions of them for a while.

Gogeta is one of 2 fusion versions between Goku and Vegeta, unlike Vegito, Gogeta is formed when Goku and Vegeta synch in the Fusion Dance. A staple of the Dragon Ball universe since Dragon Ball Z, Gogeta has appeared in the multiverse as recently as the Dragon Ball Super movie Broly.

Historically, I love this concept. The Dragon Ball Z version looks a little different the yellow padding is orange and the teal blue is dark blue or black. Every I since I saw the model kit back in the… ’90s? I loved it. southing about the vest and then the fusion of 2 characters into one making a new character seemed… trippy cool.

This is tight figure. It’s, I think a new sculpt from tip to bottom. I thought the legs were heavy reuse of the new stock Dragon Ball Z Goku base but it looks like from toes through thihgs he’s all new. The sash is new and the upper body as well. There is no reuse of the Dragon Ball Super Goku either, which is really cool. The vest is not removable for anyone asking. And I know you are.

Accessories, accessories and more accessories. Gogeta comes with a ton of hands and faces. 3 faces with the “super blue” hair and then an extra head with black hair. The extra head is bonus as it’s the non powered version of Gogeta for those collectors that like their displays to be at the non powered state.

What’s the verdict on Gogeta? A must have, I love the sculpt, the articulation and the pop that this figure adds to the shelf. I’d love a Z version and, yes a GT version now that the GT universe is slowly finding some kind of canon in the Dragon Ball universe.

But pabs! Where can I get him? Dunno, the dude sold out pretty quickly and you’ll have to do some serious searching to find a decent priced one.
