Snagg left me in a Goblin mood, so I’m going to continue my Mythic Legion looks with the burly Gonxx! Unlike the other Goblins released thus far, Gonxx is built on a Dwarf body so he’s got a bit more heft to him. Let’s take a look!
Gonxx comes in the standard Mythic Legions packaging and his bio card tells a little bit of his backstory as leader of the Goblin army. I had pictured him more as sterotypical muscle, but I like this idea too. He looks good at the head of a pack of Goblins for sure.
Gonxx comes with the standard Mythic Legions sword, the dwarven hammer from the first ML weapons pack, three wing attachment pieces, two removeable shoulder pads, and a flail.
The attachment pieces are interesting here because you can use them to attach wings to Gonxx, but they are also good if you have some wings you want to attach to other wave 1 style Mythic Legions bodies like the knights or original skeleton warriors.
The flail is my favorite weapon, probably partly due to the novelty, but the spiked ball at the end has some lovely spikes and the paint has a great rusty metallic paint job. I am tempted to pull out my old DCUC Hawkman to see how he looks wielding it.
The classic sword is a pretty common accessory and this one does have a little bit of rusty weathering. The hammer comes with the hook side attachment and has a very dark metallic brown paint job.
Since Gonxx is based on the dwarf body, he has a thicker build than the other Goblins and I think that fits the helmet sculpt a little better than the smaller Goblin army builder that came with the same head.
He comes with the spikey shoulder pads, which I think complements the Goblin armor aesthetic and he actually retains pretty decent arm movement with the pads on. His articulation is Mythic Legions standard with:
- Swivel/hinge shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles
- Ball and socket head and mid-torso
- Swivel gloves and thighs
I think the special neck piece they made for Gonxx helps him retain good head movement even with the massive shoulder pads. The neck piece makes the head jut out from the body a bit more than the previous dwarf neck pieces.

I settled on a single shoulder pad look because the sword didn’t really work well in the strap with both pads on. The paint is quite nice. I really like the flat black, almost coal like parts and the rusty weathering just highlights all of that fantastic detail on the sculpt.

Overall, Gonxx is another hit for this line. The Dwarf body gives the Goblin legion a little more variety and the paint is exquisite. The The Goblins are 4 for 4 for me so far!
