Top 5: Most Wanted Black Series Multi-Packs

The other day I listened to a Force Center podcast episode counting down the top 5 most-wanted action figures for the Black Series and one of the top 5 picks got me thinking about multi-packs. Multi-packs usually come in a few different flavors such as the logical grouping of like characters, army builders, a VS pack featuring two enemies, or a scene recreation pack. Back before this year, my number one most wanted would have been the Empire Strikes Back bounty hunters scene, but Hasbro took care of that one for me in single releases. Click through for my Top 5 Most Wanted Black Series Multi-Packs.

My runner up for this multi-pack list would be Kessel droids from Solo: A Star Wars Story. That scene is packed to the gills with interestingly colored and classically designed Star Wars droids and I’d love to see them in plastic form. We have L3, maybe we need some of those droids she died trying to free.

My next runner up would be Qi’Ra and Quay Tolsite. I’d love a scene of the brutal meeting between Qi’Ra and evil Spice Mine Administrator Quay Tolsite. The design of the Kessel control room is particularly beautiful to me and would make a lovely backdrop.

I really like the Qi’Ra figure we got in the Black Series, but feel like I need a Qi’Ra in her Kessel look to complete the set. Include a snazzy removeable cape with soft goods so it can be twirled in a whirl of Teräs Käsi takedown manuevers and you get two looks for the price of one. Quay Tolsite is just one of those funky aliens from Star Wars that I really dig. I suppose I could swap Quay out for a Kessel Guard or one of the liberated droids.

#5 Battlefront II Squads

I love me some troop building, and I can’t think of a better way than releasing squads of Battlefront soldiers. The game has four basic classes, Specialist (sniper), Officer, Heavy and Assault spread across the armies of the Empire, Rebellion, Republic, Resistance, First Order and Separatists.

I envision a four-pack with one of each class for each army. These would be a fun way to build several armies easily and it would be appealing to Hasbro because of the potential part re-use.

I’d love to get a figure of the Rebel Officer sporting that General Madine Style outfit.

#4 Bodhi Rook and Saw Gerrera

There is a big Bodhi shaped hole in my Rogue One display and Saw is probably my most wanted after him. These two are significant characters from that film that I think would make great figures, especially Saw with all that weird armor.

It wouldn’t necessarily have to be a Bor-Gullet interrogation themed set, but I could see them coming with a Rebel Base backdrop. I could also see Bodhi with a Galen Erso, Admiral Raddus, Rebel Soldier, or even Space-Monkey Bistan.

#3 Warwick Davis Pack

I want a pack featuring figures of Warwick’s many roles in the Star Wars universe. Warwick’s basically a legend at this point and deserves the tribute. This was the idea that inspired me to think about multi-packs in the first place, and while I heard it on Force Center, I could have sworn I’ve discussed this on Fwoosh before. Ideally, for me, the pack would include Wicket, Wald (the Rodian kid from The Phantom Menace), Wollivan from The Last Jedi, Rukh from Rebels, Weeteef Cyubee from Rogue One, Kedpin Shoklop from The Last Jedi and Weazel from Solo: A Star Wars Story. If they wanted to drop Kedpin and include Warwick’s Droids from Solo or The Phantom Menace version of Weazel, I’d allow it since Kedpin is from a cut scene and also nude. He was a fun character in the Canto Bight book, though.

#2 Zeb VS Kallus

With the announcement of the upcoming Chopper and Ezra,  my precious Ghost cast is almost complete, but I still need Garazeb Orelios! Zeb and Kallus have a great story arc across the series and it would fantastic to show their first confrontation. The Bow Rifle is such a fun, dynamic weapon, and switches from laser gun to energy staff. I Kallus and Zeb would make for a dynamic scene posed in a face off, plus it would be nice to get a Rebels specific bad guy for the Ghost Crew to fight.

#1 Lando Sidekicks!

Lando has accrued quite a few sidekicks during his adventures across the Star Wars Galaxy including Lobot and Nien Nunb in the original trilogy, Vuffi Raa in the expanded universe, Shriv Suurgaav in Battlefront II and most recently L3-37 in Solo. The pack would have had a bit more umph before L3 was released and I really don’t expect to ever see a Vuffi Raa figure, but a Shriv, Lobot, and Nien Nunb pack would be amazing. Hell, throw an Ugnaught in there too. Why not?
