This may just be the last comic War Machine I’ll ever need.
I know that’s a bold statement but at this exact moment in time, that’s how I feel. The look, the bulk, the articulation. Even though it utilizes Revoltech joints with their usual fiddle factor, the overall stability continues to improves. I say that because early in the line things were wonky, figures couldn’t achieve natural neutral stances, but over the last few releases that has evolved into a much more enjoyable posing experience.
Plus, Rhodey is armed to the teeth, as he should be.
But with great accessories on Revo joints comes a greater chance for floppiness. I’ve heard people talk about it and I ran into it a few times. The trick I found is to try flipping the joints around, or switch joints where the arms plug in the opposite way. Essentially, keep unplugging and plugging until you find the right combo and it stays tight. The mini guns are the worst offender but with some messing around they can be posed.
Y’know, just like Revoltech is supposed to be.
It’s not quite a fit for Marvel Legends because of the stylized proportions of the line. At first glance it’s big and bulky enough, then you zero in on the head and hands sizes and it blows the match. If you’re not picky about that though and just like putting good toys together it won’t bother you too much.
