The Fortnite train keeps chugging along with new releases. Today we’re going to take a look at the translucent purple cowboy looking fellow by the name of Galaxy!
Galaxy comes in the familiar window box that shows off the figure and accessories well.

He comes with the usual assortment of goodies with two guns, two faceplates, a pickaxe, a backpack piece, and some dynamite.

The dynamite is the same that came with Beef Boss and fits securely in the wide open hand.

The pickaxe is translucent with glitter inside to fit the starfield theme of the figure. I feel like this weapon is scaled a little off for the figure, but he holds it okay.
The face plates click on securely and allow for stern, surprised and happy expressions. The face is the most translucent part, and therefore my favorite. The spinning star effect piece attaches via peg and can easily be removed for ease of face plate swapping.
The guns are cool. The standard pistol and tommy gun fit in the figure’s hand well and have the requisite detail.
The backpack is a thin flat disc with a swirling pattern sculpted in. I’m assuming it’s supposed to be a galaxy, though I don’t feel like it’s super effective.
Galaxy looks to re-use a bunch of Jonesy parts and matches up pretty well with the game model. His long hair and beard make me think of Wild Bill Hickock or Metal Gear Solid’s Revolver Ocelot.

The articulation moves pretty well for the most part, however the head is reduced to a swivel due to the flowing locks of hair. Otherwise he has the standard Fortnite figure articulation scheme with:
- Swivel hinge neck, shoulders, wrists, hips and ankles
- Double hinged knees and elbows
- Swivel thighs, boots, waist, and biceps
- Ball and socket mid-torso wobble
- Hinged butterfly pec joints, toes, and hands
Paint is pretty good on this figure. He’s cast in a translucent and glittery purple plastic of varying darkness and has a cloudy pink overspray to simulate a stellar cloud feel. I wish the body was a little lighter to sell the translucent effect a little better, more like the face.

Overall I like this figure a lot and I think a lot of that’s due to my love of translucent figures, but I like the feel of this guy. He’s got a weird, cosmic comic character vibe that I like.
