Should have known the actual promo pics for the MAFEX Wolverine would pop up the very next day…
And it does look good! The proportions look good, thick while being slightly stubby. Colors are on point, with the metallic blue fitting the aesthetic set by MAFEX Spider-Man. And the articulation seems to be more than adequate.
Personally, I’m not a fan of the super long mask “wings”, it makes me think “guest artist!” on the books back in the day. Or maybe Marvel vs. Capcom, but neither of those are bad things, really. Just not my mental image of the costume. But in terms of heads, Logan comes with two masked (mad and madder) and then an unmasked, let the hair free option.
There’s also a downed mask to complete the unmasked look, a couple of sets of hands, and then, of course, the clawed hands.
No official solicitation yet, that should be soon, but it looks like it will cost about $75 and is scheduled for November. Yesterday I made a fuss about it being listed for 160mm, or 6.2 inches, but several people mentioned that most MAFEX are listed at that height, even when they aren’t, or that maybe it’s measured to the top of the “wings”. And now that I see just how big they are, that may be true. We’ll have a way better idea of the scale of this line once Mr. Peter Parker shows up next month.
EDIT: Amiami has posted the solicitation for Wolverine and it’s listed for $70 with a height of 145mm, or 5.7 inches. That sounds about right to me!
