QMX had an interesting mix of figure styles and scales on display for the Star Trek, Firefly and DC Comics licenses and a couple of really cool things for a personal favorite show from my youth, Animaniacs. Check out some pics of the wares on display at QMx’s SDCC booth!
The first thing that popped out to me at this booth were these beautiful large scale 1:6 scale Star Trek figures. I’m a bigger Star Wars fan, but I’ve watched more than my share of Star Trek over the years, so these were a thrill to see. The likenesses and outfits are fantastic. I especially liked seeing great figures of Worf, Geordie and Data. Worf’s sash has this great metallic. The two Khan figures are pretty fantastic.
They also had 1:6 scale figures for Firefly, Justified, The Princess Bride, and Supernatural. The Firefly figures looked dope, but I find it interesting that they are hitting Jayne, Mal and Zoe first similar to how you saw the Funko figures concentrate on those more action oriented characters. I wonder if there is some popularity data that shows people prefer these three to Book, Simon, Inara and River.
These pins looked cosplay worthy.
These Q-Figs are so damn cute. I especially like the Harry Potter stuff.
They also had this massive detailed model of the Milano. It’s super pricey, but looks like a film prop.
Finally, the Animaniacs Q-Figs were on point. I need a Yakko, Wakko and Dot in this style.
