Oh Revoltech, you are such a fickle line. Some people love you, some people hate you. And you can turn on some of us at a moment’s notice. I love the Marvel releases but the Amazing Yamaguchi Venom falls a little short.
Don’t get me wrong, it looks fantastic, but at least on mine the torso and neck is loose. Really, really loose. And I don’t think it’s an engineering problem, it’s just that Venom is so big and bulky that the standard Revoltech joints just can’t handle the strain. But from what I hear others aren’t as problematic. Did I get a dud? Maybe. But I can only review what I get.
When it comes down to it, if I were to tighten those two points the figure would nail some amazing poses, just like the previous Deadpool and Spider-Man. The articulation scheme doesn’t quite match those two, veering in places because of the added size and bulk, but the range is still there. It’s not a bad figure. It’s just that in my case so extra TLC is needed.
