I’m just going to go ahead and admit it. I have no clue who Kogure Kenzo is or what Seibu Keisatsu is like. Hell, I barely remember pre-ordering this figure, but at the time I must have been thinking “I’d like to see what figma is like and it’s a dude in a suit, cool.” So when the figure showed up recently I was kind of surprised. It has issues but overall I do like it.
First of all, it’s just all kinds of suave. If I’m reading the description correctly Kogure is a hardened detective type and that’s good enough for me. Everything about this figure screams seventies. I love the look and accessories.
My problem stems from articulation, or the limited range of movement in the neck and ankles. Not a huge deal when you look this badass on the shelf, but it does limit some poses. Also, the head without the sunglasses isn’t that great, even with the moving eye gimmick. But then I put the cigarette hand in and the look just completes itself.
