Bandai’s been reissuing their S.H. Figuarts Body Chan and Kun figures, and you can get these easily from your favorite hobby store. For customizers these are great figures that can be used to further develop S.H. Figuarts collections.
I don’t have much to add to what I originally reviewed back in May (review here); these figures are the exact same as before, just molded in grey. Both figures are 100 percent the same in construction, form, engineering, articulation. The only differences between the Pale Orange (flesh) and Grey DLX versions are the colors. One is Pale Orange and the other Grey.
Now, the Grey versions do come with a ton of accessories. Where the Pale Orange versions only came with a set of hands, the Grey deluxe versions come with a new base that acts as a base and storage, a ton of new hands, a sword, laptop, gun, tablet, pen, flip phone, and touch phone. It’s a huge amount of stuff to come with a figure, and at the price? $51 dollars ain’t bad, kinda makes you hate on the lack of accessories some of the name brand S.H. Figuarts don’t come with at a higher price point.
I’m still in love with these blanks, even though I have no idea what to do with them. They kinda make good “putty” figures for your Avengers to fight, maybe like mini adaptoids. Although, I might have found a use with them — I think I can customize them into knights using IMEX 1/12 scale models and make some Dark Souls-styled knights. I’ll update you on that later.
