It’s always nice to get info and pics for the Bandai Star Wars 1:12 scale action figure kits, especially when it’s a super nice character and vehicle combo like the Battle Droid with STAP.
At least pics came out earlier than the last few releases. The Battle Droid drops at the end of August. As for what comes next…who knows. But that seems to be the common practice with these models. Keep a tight lid on things then boom, here’s a couple of new ones.
I so want to army build these but they are a little more pricey. Plus finding room for more than a couple of STAPs just isn’t happening.
The kit includes the standard droid blaster, a pair of binoculars, and if my translation is working correctly, a C-3PO head. Don’t quote me on that one. I don’t see it in any of the promotional material but it would be awesome if it is included, especially in a non-gold kind of gray finish. Like the S.H. Figuarts Battle Droid, the model has an interchangeable antenna and can fold up into transport mode.
As always the model will come out looking cleaner than the promo pics. They’re models, they require paint. But gah, I can’t wait. It’s always nice to add something new to the Star Wars shelf, especially a vehicle.
