Fwoosh Best of 2015: Marvel Legends Daredevil

logo

You wouldn’t think that a figure so seemingly simple could make it to one of the Best-of picks for 2015, but Hasbro has given me what could be the last Daredevil I’ll ever need. And as one of my favorite superheroes, that’s no small feat.

Daredevil vs. Mole Man

Just to be 100 percent honest, this is not my favorite figure of the year. That honor goes solely to Mezco’s Batman — covered already so skillfully by Fwoosh’s DisThunder. It’s a true work of art that has really upped the game in terms of 6-inch action figures. But as far as mass market releases goes, Daredevil wins it for me.

Batman and Daredevil

Matt Murdock is on the Marvel Legends body that everyone is all too familiar with. There’s nothing groundbreaking with this toy. It’s sized well for the character, constructed well, and is just about as poseable as any other Legend coming out.  So why am I holding it in such high regard?

For the simple fact that this is the best Daredevil figure I’ve ever owned, and I can’t put him down!

Daredevil vs Punisher

It’s one of the most simplistic designs in the Marvel Universe, but for one reason or another, companies have had such a hard time nailing it (see also: the Silver Surfer). The paint is perfect, the head sculpt is stern and serious, and the articulation brings all the fun of a Legends figure without mucking up the sculpt. I thought I was fine with Hasbro’s previous attempt.  I never knew just how wrong I was until I held this toy in my hands.

Daredevil for 2015!
