We have the duller finish Star Wars Black Series Captain Phasma, the slightly shinier and more articulated S.H. Figuarts Phasma, and now the ultra shiny model Phasma. That’s a lot of Phasma!
But like I always say, choices are good. People can pick and choose their own personal favorite version. Sure, the model kits are harder to get now but they are attainable if you do some hunting.
The model kit Phasma clocks in at about 6.8 inches tall and has the shiniest armor of the three 1:12 scale figures solicited so far. She has 3 sets of hands, open, grip, and fist, and includes her blaster and a base that seems to be glossier than previous versions. Oddly, and awesomely, the description says there are two choices for the cape. Molded, like the Darth Vader cape, and a cloth option. In the pics it looks like there are two layers to the cape but it’s hard to tell what’s going. We’ll have to wait for more pictures.
Captain Phasma is set to release in February, the same release month as the S.H. Figuarts Phasma. Another unexpected choice. The pre-order on AmiAmi Japan is priced at $26 so she is higher than previous model kits, probably because of the chrome. We saw the same price hike with the shiny C-3PO.
