Oh Bandai. You have me hook, line, and sinker with your 6-inch scale model kits. And now you’re teasing me with the bounty hunteringest bounty hunter the Star Wars universe has to offer? The pre-order has to pop up soon, right? RIGHT?
Bandai has posted a little color teaser of Boba Fett to promote a show this weekend and he’s looking mighty fine. Yes, it’s another The Empire Strikes Back version, but hey, if it’s a better figure than the Black Series then I must have it. I’ll at least give it a try.
From the sound of things we’ll see more of this kit at the show this weekend, so keep an eye out. For those who don’t remember, the prototype was shown a while back.
Fett is scheduled to drop in September and the price should be right in line with the Sandtrooper. About $17 before shipping.
Speaking of the Sandtrooper, here’s a couple of final product shots I just found on AmiAmi. We’ve seen the images but these a larger and cleaner.
The Sandtrooper should be released within the week. Can. Not. Wait.
Now. What’s next? Usually they give a pretty big lead time revealing what is coming next but Fett snuck up and is dropping quickly with no word of what is after. Is Bandai going to dive into some Episode VII characters or are they going to surprise us with a classic character we don’t yet have in action figure form? I’m okay with the former but would be ecstatic for the latter.
