Yeeeeessssss. You know I’ve been all over these model kits and now C-3PO has an arrival date!
Or at least a vague idea of an arrival date. He’s currently scheduled for late April according to AmiAmi and HLJ, which isn’t bad considering R2-D2 and R5-D4 are scheduled for late March. It’s raining droids in the spring!
As far as the figure itself and it’s features, here’s the list of accessories.
[Accessories]
-face parts × 2 types (normal type × 1 · Damage type × 1)
-damage eye parts × 1
-commlink × 2
-control bolt × 2
-control bolt mounting body parts × 1

Two faces? Damaged eye part? Two commlinks? Is that one for 3PO and one for another character? Why two restraining bolts? One for R2? Is it a different chest piece for the restraining bolt? What is smacking and display for plating arm parts? So many questions, we need finalized promo pics stat! From that sound of it though, don’t put him together above carpet. Sooooo many tiny parts.
The figure will be gold plated with a silver plated leg. Does this along with all the accessories contribute to the higher price? He’s listed for about $24 on the import sites whereas Darth Vader and Stormtrooper ran about $16. Still a good price for the quality you get with these kits. And the sheer joy of putting together a toy too.
Like I said, R2 and R5 hit first in March and BigBadToyStore has them up for pre-order for those of you who aren’t comfortable ordering overseas.
Along with these we can still look forward to a Biker Scout with Speeder Bike and a Sandtrooper. You can check out the previously released figures in this line with my reviews of Darth Vader and Stormtrooper.
I love this series, I really do. Bring more on and quickly.
