Raphael’s pet turtle Spike transformed into the hulking mutant turtle Slash, and the two briefly became partners in ninja-turtle business — this was a great concept when introduced in the hit animated series, but, unfortunately, Slash’s translation to action figure form wasn’t quite as successful as his appearance on the series. It’s a nice-looking figure in terms of sculpt and paint, but it’s held back by two major areas: scale and articulation.
