While largely quiet in terms of news and reveals at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Funko did manage to get out new versions of two of their Game of Thrones Legacy figures as SDCC exclusives: a glow-in-the-dark White Walker and a Tyrion Lannister with a new head sculpt and a helmet, which we’re taking a look at here.
Tyrion is my favorite character on the series and in the books, so I was definitely going to get this exclusive somehow. Fortunately, I was able to order one through HBO’s web store. My order was somehow filled while many others had their orders cancelled — I guess that’s something we’re seeing happening more and more these days with exclusive figures and even full waves of figures.
From the neck down, this is the same figure we saw released in the very first wave of figures, so it’s mainly Tyrion’s head and helmet we need to take a look at. Is the head sculpt different enough to warrant the purchase? I think it is, but your mileage may vary.
