The Mattypalooza panel today opened up with a great video showing the MOTUC figures in action and ended with a roster of really beautiful Masters of the Universe of Classics reveals. Check out more pictures from Mattel’s Masters of the Universe Classics Line!
I was impressed with the opening video, so much so, I grabbed some pics of the scenes. My favorite bit, hands down is Plundor blasting away at Lt. Spector. So much fun.
Mini-Masters
The Mini-Masters are getting another chance with a bundle shipping deal on the first three packs from this year and a bundle on the next three and a sub for next year. This might be what pushes me over the edge to collecting this line.
Even though a bunch of reveals were spoiled ahead of time, there was still plenty of good surprises in the MOTUC reveals. I was especially blown away by the Lizard Man reveal. Huntara came out pretty much perfect, though I would have like the extra masked head. The Ninjor figure was especially impressive. I feel like the addition of a light armor to the rather plain tunic of the vintage figure adds a lot to the figure. It’s also neat that he gets the monster feet. Mini-Comic He-Man came out really well with two new and equally wonderful He-Man head sculpts.
I really like the Hsss two pack, but my favorite part is the beefed up snake form. Unfortunately, that form will not be included in this pack. We were told by Scott that it will come with a later figure. I’m not sure where it would fit in, but as long as I get it, I’ll be okay.
