I’ll admit, I was an Army of Darkness kinda guy before I even watched Evil Dead or Evil Dead II. AoD came out when I was in high school and it was one of those movies that was “my” movie, you know what I mean? Like I had just discovered something new and wonderful, wacky and weird, and it was all mine. Young and naive. Before the internet brought like minded people much closer together to share ideas, discoveries, and hobbies. Then we proceeded to argue about them. Oh, internet, you.
It wasn’t until later that I went back and watched the first two Evil Deads. 1 was okay. 2 blew my mind. I still can’t go to sleep when this pops into my head.
Brrrr.
Anyway, NECA took their Hero Ash and Deadite Ash into the photo studio and took some pics. I’m not big on cloth but the head sculpts and accessories here look good so I may just pick these up and see what I can do about tightening up the clothes.
Hail to the king, baby… both of them!
In the ultimate battle of good versus evil, Ash versus Ash, Chin versus Chin, who will reign supreme? We’ll find out soon! (More specifically, May for Hero Ash and July for Deadite Ash.)
