LEGO – The LEGO Movie: Super Cycle Chase 70808

After a few weeks of non-LEGO movie reviews, I decided it’s well past time to review some more of these AWESOME sets. This week I am looking at a great set that comes with two vehicles, five minifigures, and a small set piece. FYI: if you have not seen this movie, you may be a bit crazy. Because, trust me, everything is AWESOME in that movie! This set features two vehicles from an action-packed chase scene just after Emmet meets Wyldstyle.

The five minifigures include Emmet with the piece of resistance, Wyldstyle with her hood down, and three different Robo SWAT figures. Both Emmet and Wyldstyle feature two different faces. Emmet has a scared and smirking face, while Wyldstyle comes with a straight face and a smirking face.

The Robo SWAT figures have only one face each, but they do come with different helmets and weapons. All three include a cool SWAT vest. One of the helmets has a movable shield and another has night-vision goggles.

The one small set piece included is a roll-out spike strip. Just click the lever and it rolls out in one quick second. Not going to lie, I played with that thing for at least ten minutes.

The first vehicle is the Robo SWAT’s 4×4 car. It comes with four beefy tires, a mean-looking front grill, and a removable roof for easy cockpit access. This “little” car feels like a proper toy car when it’s fully built.

In addition to the removable roof, the car features two other action features. On each side of the car there are pullout side pieces that hide a flick missile. The rear end of the car opens to show where the Robo SWAT stores their dynamite.

The second vehicle is Wyldstyle’s Dragster that she made out of random parts she found in an ally. I love the translucent exhaust flames shooting off the back of the bike.  This dragster is my favorite part of this set. It looks like it just jumped right off the screen and onto my table.

The decals on the dragster really do look like they were grabbed from random trash and items in an ally. It adds that extra flare.

I have enjoyed every set of The LEGO Movie series, and this one is no different. This set has a lot of value packed into this small box. I think this may be the best set to get if you are only looking to get one or two sets from the movie. It gives you some bad guys, the two main heroes, and one of the most recognizable vehicles form the movie.  Though I would advise against getting just one — you need them all, all I tell you!

Well, this has not been my first and it will not be my last LEGO Movie set review; there are tons more great sets for me to review!
